How to Build a Tent
Building a tent is a useful skill for anyone who enjoys camping or spending time outdoors. A tent provides shelter from the weather and a comfortable place to sleep at night. Setting up a tent may seem tricky at first, but by following a few easy steps, you can do it quickly and correctly.
First, choose a good location for your tent. The best spot is flat, dry, and free of rocks or sticks. It should also be a safe distance away from water in case it rains. Once you find the right spot, lay out a ground tarp or footprint. This helps protect the bottom of the tent and keeps it dry.
Next, take the tent out of its bag and lay it flat on top of the tarp. Spread it out so you can see how big it will be when it’s set up. Most tents come with poles that fit together. Connect the poles and slide them through the sleeves or clips on the tent, depending on the type. The poles give the tent its shape and hold it up.
After that, raise the tent by standing it up with the poles in place. You might need help from another person to hold the tent steady. Once the tent is standing, secure it by pushing stakes into the ground at each corner. Tie the tent to the stakes using ropes or loops so it doesn’t blow away in the wind.
Finally, attach the rainfly if your tent has one. The rainfly is a waterproof cover that goes over the top of the tent to keep rain out. Make sure everything is tight and secure.
In conclusion, building a tent takes a little practice, but it’s easy when you know the steps. Pick a good spot, set up the tarp, put the tent together, and stake it down. Then you’re ready to enjoy your camping adventure!

Riding the bus every day has taught me many small but important lessons. One thing I’ve learned from my busmates is how to share and work together. Sometimes we take turns sitting by the window, share snacks, or help each other with schoolwork. It’s nice to feel like we’re part of a little team.
I’ve also learned patience. The bus can be noisy or crowded, and not everyone is always in a good mood. Being around different kinds of people helps me stay calm and understand others better, even if they’re different from me.
Lastly, I’ve learned new things just by listening. My busmates talk about books they read, games they play, and funny things that happened to them. I often hear about something new that I want to try too.
Being with my busmates every day teaches me a lot more than just how to get to school.

Meghalaya is a stunning state located in the northeastern part of India, known for its misty hills, lush forests, and vibrant tribal culture. The name "Meghalaya" means "abode of clouds", which perfectly describes its weather, as the state receives heavy rainfall throughout the year. In fact, Mawsynram, a village in Meghalaya, holds the record for being the wettest place on Earth. The capital city, Shillong, is a charming hill station known for its beautiful landscapes, music culture, and colonial-era architecture. Meghalaya is home to three main tribes — the Khasi, Garo, and Jaintia — who follow a unique matrilineal society, where family lineage is passed through the mother. The state is also famous for its living root bridges, made by training the roots of rubber trees to grow across rivers and streams. These bridges, some of which are over 100 years old, are both strong and eco-friendly. With its clean villages like Mawlynnong (called the cleanest village in Asia), deep limestone caves, tall waterfalls, and warm-hearted people, Meghalaya is a treasure of nature and culture in India’s Northeast.

My Digital Art Service Project
Day 1:
I decided to start a service creating digital art, posters, and invitations. I talked to my parents about my idea and asked for their advice on how much I should charge for my work. We also discussed any costs I might have, like paying for special apps or using the internet. I made a list of everything I would need and thought about how much time I could spend on each design.
Day 2:
I researched different apps and tools for designing, like Canva and Pixlr, and finally chose the ones that were easy to use and had good features. I spent some time learning how to use these tools better by watching videos and practicing simple designs. Then, I started creating 2 or 3 sample posters and invitations to show my style. I wanted these samples to look neat and attractive so that people would like my work.
Day 3:
I finished my sample designs and showed them to my family and friends to get their feedback. They told me what they liked and also suggested some improvements, like using brighter colors or clearer fonts. I took their advice seriously and made changes to my designs. On this day, I also received my first order from a friend who wanted a birthday invitation designed for an upcoming party.
Day 4:
I prepared a simple price list for my service, writing down how much I would charge for different types of designs. I also made a short description of the services I could offer so I could explain everything easily to anyone interested. I practiced talking about my prices and services clearly, so I would feel confident when telling others. On this day, a classmate asked me to create a poster for the school’s cultural program.
Day 5:
I started telling more friends, family, and classmates about my digital art service. I explained what I could create and showed them my sample designs. To encourage people to try my service, I offered a free sample design to the first few customers. On this day, I received two orders: one from another friend needing an invitation for a small family gathering, and one from a family member who wanted a digital flyer for a festival celebration.
Day 6:
I worked hard to complete all the orders I had received so far. I made sure to follow the customers’ instructions carefully and paid attention to details. I kept track of the time I spent on each design to understand how long different tasks took me. I also stayed in touch with my customers to show them progress and ask if they wanted any changes. On this day, I got one more order from a classmate who needed a poster for the upcoming sports day.
Day 7:
I finished all the designs and delivered them to my customers on time. I felt proud seeing their happy reactions and hearing their positive feedback. After completing my project, I wrote a short summary about what I learned, how much the project cost me, how much I earned, and the feedback I received. I realized this experience taught me not only design skills but also how to manage time and communicate with people. Finally, I completed my project successfully.
In total, I completed 5 simple designs and 3 detailed designs. I charged ₹100 for each simple design and ₹200 for each detailed design. So, I earned:
(5 × ₹100) + (3 × ₹200) = ₹500 + ₹600 = ₹1100 in total.
