Results indicate that 110 PFGE profiles are currently circulating, with five profiles representing the majority, and the predominant serotype 3, has been gradually replaced by serotype 2 and serotype 2,3. ELISA screening and immunoblotting identified three Prn-deficient isolates. Genotypic characterization by PCR and sequencing indicated that one isolate had a promoter mutation in prn, while the other two did not have an obvious genetic explanation for their deficiency. While the lack of Prn was identified in a few isolates, this study did not detect a relevant occurrence of Prn-deficiency, until 2016, confirming previous observations that Prn-deficiency is likely aP vaccine-driven.

The purpose of this meta-analysis is to gather and investigate pooled information on the responsiveness of the main patient outcome measure in cardiac rehabilitation (CR) and pulmonary rehabilitation (PR). The main outcome measure in CR and PR has been found to be the Medical Outcomes Study Short Form-36 health survey (SF-36).

A previous systematic effectiveness review of this literature was used as the basis of this statistical analysis, with the bulk of articles being observational studies.

This meta-analysis assessed articles on CR that used SF-36 pre and post "within" (per interventional group) mean scores and in the PR literature that used the SF-36 and the Chronic Respiratory Questionnaire (CRQ) "within" change scores.

Each group of patients in the chosen literature were taken to represent a single group, so that studies such as randomized controlled trials were listed twice. Data extraction was conducted using major databases; PubMed, Google Scholar, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health, Scopes, Cochrane Library, the Web of Science, and African Journals Online were involved in the review. Two reviewers extracted data independently using a standardized data extraction checklist on Microsoft Excel. Any discrepancy was resolved by including the third reviewer for a possible consensus.

Fourteen studies, with a total of 4066 health care workers, were included in the meta-analysis.
