A 3D porous graphene composite film containing Ni/NiO hybrid nanoparticles (Ni/NiO NPs) is prepared by combining electrophoresis deposition and thermal H2 annealing techniques. The Ni/NiO NPs with a mean diameter of 45 nm are uniformly embedded on both the exterior and interior surfaces of reduced graphene, forming a 3D porous reduced graphene oxide composite film (Ni/NiO rGO). The insertion of Ni/NiO NPs into rGO greatly improves the electric conductivity and charge storage capability of the resultant Ni/NiO rGO film. By directly using it as freestanding electrodes, the fabricated lithium-ion battery and supercapacitor respectively exhibited high capacities of 758 mAh g-1@ 0.2 A g-1 and 430.8 F [email protected] A g-1, an increase of 82.3-fold and 20.2-fold compared to the pure rGO electrode-based counterparts under the same condition.
Clinical named entity recognition (CNER), whose goal is to automatically identify clinical entities in electronic medical records (EMRs), is an important research direction of clinical text data mining and information extraction. The promotion of CNER can provide support for clinical decision making and medical knowledge base construction, which could then improve overall medical quality. Compared with English CNER, and due to the complexity of Chinese word segmentation and grammar, Chinese CNER was implemented later and is more challenging.

With the development of distributed representation and deep learning, a series of models have been applied in Chinese CNER. Different from the English version, Chinese CNER is mainly divided into character-based and word-based methods that cannot make comprehensive use of EMR information and cannot solve the problem of ambiguity in word representation.

In this paper, we propose a lattice long short-term memory (LSTM) model combined with a variant contextualized charve in Chinese CNER. In addition, the results of our experiments show that variant contextualized character representations can significantly improve the performance of the model.
Many mobile health (mHealth) technologies exist for patients with heart failure (HF). However, HF mhealth lacks evidence of efficacy, caregiver involvement, and clinically useful real-time data.

We aim to capture health care providers' perceived value of HF mHealth, particularly for pairing patient-caregiver-generated data with clinical intervention to inform the design of future HF mHealth.

This study is a subanalysis of a larger qualitative study based on interviewing patients with HF, their caregivers, and health care providers. This analysis included interviews with health care providers (N=20), focusing on their perceived usefulness of HF mHealth tools and interventions.

A total of 5 themes emerged (1) bio-psychosocial-spiritual monitoring, (2) use of sensors, (3) interoperability, (4) data sharing, and (5) usefulness of patient-reported outcomes in practice. Providers remain interested in mHealth technologies for HF patients and their caregivers. However, providers report being unconvinced of the clinical usefulness of robust real-time patient-reported outcomes.

The use of assessments, sensors, and real-time data collection could provide value in patient care. Future research must continually explore how to maximize the utility of mHealth for HF patients, their caregivers, and health care providers.

Its substrates account for about 21% of the human proteome, including well known proteins such as actin, tropomyosin, CDK2, and α-synuclein (αSyn). Human NatB (hNatB) mediated N-terminal acetylation of αSyn has been demonstrated to play key roles in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease and as a potential therapeutic target for hepatocellular carcinoma. Here we report the cryo-EM structure of hNatB bound to a CoA-αSyn conjugate, together with structure-guided analysis of mutational effects on catalysis. This analysis reveals functionally important differences with human NatA and Candida albicans NatB, resolves key hNatB protein determinants for αSyn N-terminal acetylation, and identifies important residues for substrate-specific recognition and acetylation by NatB enzymes. These studies have implications for developing small molecule NatB probes and for understanding the mode of substrate selection by NAT enzymes.
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory airway disease that usually causes variable airway obstruction. It affects 5-10% of the German population.

This review is based on relevant publications retrieved by a selective search, as well as on national and international guidelines on the treatment of mild and moderate asthma in adults.

The goal of treatment is to attain optimal asthma control with a minimal risk of exacerbations and mortality, loss of pulmonary function, and drug side effects. This can be achieved with a combination of pharmacotherapy and non-drug treatment including patient education, exercise, smoking cessation, and rehabilitation. Pharmacohterapy is based on inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) and bronchodilators. It is recommended that mild asthma should be treated only when needed, either with a fixed combination of ICS and formoterol or with short-acting bronchodilators. For moderate asthma, maintenance treatment is recommended, with an inhaled fixed combinations of ICS and long-acting beta-mimetics, possibly supplemented with longacting anticholinergic agents. Allergen immunotherapy, i.e., desensitization treatment, should be considered if the allergic component of asthma is well documented and the patient is not suffering from uncontrolled asthma. Asthma control should be monitored at regular intervals, and the treatment should be adapted accordingly.

The treatment of asthma in adults should be individually tailored, with anti-inflammatory treatment as its main component.
