Jon’s True Birth Name

I went on a few hours long rants after Season 6′s finale aired, on twitter. It wasn’t so much a rant, as it was me researching and trying desperately to determine what Jon’s real name was. I will insert my tweets, and also fix a few typos, errors I made but later rectified, clarify or elaborate more than I could in 140 characters. To see the tweet stream itself, go here.

Melisandre & The Lord of Light choosing Jon and/or Dany???

So, there’s been a lot of talk about Azor Ahai and the Prince that was Promised recently, and mostly this season (Season 6), has it become a more common topic. The last time we really talked about it this much was Season 2, when Stannis was considered the prince.

Arya Will Go to Winterfell, Have a Short Reunion, Before She’s Out

Arya wants nothing to do with Westeros anymore. She’s getting her revenge on everyone that was on her list, she’ll see what’s left of her family, but as she expressed to the actress, she wants to explore. She’s a free spirit. She may even spend some time in the Iron Islands with Yara/Asha, and take a ship with her, on her quest West of Westeros.

Arya is essentially going to be the Christopher Columbus of Westeros. She’s going to sail into waters unknown, discover a new place never once chartered, and that will be the end of it.

Maybe there will be a reunion with the Hound, as well, who will go with her because he’s tired of Westeros too, and he’ll promise Sansa and Jon that he’ll keep her safe as he can.

The Name Varys Heard in the Fire was “Daenerys”

Varys has always been secretly rooting for Daenerys. He has supported her claim from the get-go, made sure Jorah the Andal was there watching over her, and even secured a pardon for his crimes. He even risks his own safety by returning to Westeros in order to ensure that she has Westerosi allies to support her (extremely powerful ones like the Tyrells and Martells, two families that now control more than any of the Lannisters do, despite Cersei’s appearances).

Varys is probably one of the Targaryen loyalists that helped smuggle Dany, Viserys, etc out of King’s Landing during its sacking, much like he did Tyrion.

But when the Red Priestess talks to him about the night he became a eunich, she mentions a name being spoken in the fire. And Varys seems absolutely terrified that the woman not only knew that, but suspects something. I think Varys heard the name of Daenerys and has since been a firm supporter of the distant princess.

Another, possible, theory is that the name wasn’t Daenerys but Jon Snow. (Remember that he was always fond of Ned and often tried to help him to make sure that he could go back home North, and protect his family.)

Jaime will kill Cersei

Now, I don’t know where he’ll kill her, or when, but Jaime will most definitely kill Cersei. The look he gave her as Cersei sat at the throne, and then walked away, was not one of respect or love, it’s one of loathing, and contempt, and disgust. Cersei ensured that all three of their children died.

She completely ruined Joffrey from the get-go through spoiling him.

She was so insistent on control that she had people spying on everything, which led Myrcella to be shipped to Dorne.

She wanted revenge not even thinking of what it would do to her son, who was helplessly in love with a woman that his mother hated. Unable to live in a world where he is his mother’s pawn, as he comes to that realization staring at the Crypt, but also unable to live with himself after knowing that his wife that he love’s dead, and that he would likely be blamed for it and have to answer to it…. well, he was done fixing Cersei’s mistakes.

Jaime blames Cersei for each of their deaths. And he will try to help Cersei fix herself and come back to herself, but Cersei will be too unpredictable, too wild, and too much like the Mad-King, who Jaime had killed BECAUSE he wanted to kill innocent people with wildfire.

Cersei has become the Mad-King, and Jaime is going to kill her before she can do anything more. It will likely be during one of their night’s together, as Cersei demands that someone die, or as Daenerys begins her siege. Either way, Cersei will die, Jaime will hand over the throne to Daenerys, and it will be just as Robert’s Rebellion ended, only on better terms.

Either Jaime will be killed for his crimes against Aerys, or he will be shown mercy and forced to take the black, where he will become Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch.

How the Ending Will Divide the Realm:

There will be four Kingdoms:

Dorne, which will be ruled over by Ellaria Sand, and an alliance with the Tyrells and Varys ensuring that the Dornish remain in check. The Tyrells being friendly with the Targaryens, as they married before, and Elia was very much loved by the Targaryen family (we assume), I highly doubt that Ellaria would make a move against Daenerys, especially with the dragons and everything.

Iron Islands, which will be ruled by Yara/Asha Greyjoy. The Iron Islands will get the respect they so desire, and the ability to sail east towards Essos to do their raiding, instead of raiding Westeros. It may not be what Dany wants, but it will be a compromise, as long as Yara/Asha agrees not to raid any cities that Dany has an alliance with. One of the Sand sisters are going to be living in the Iron Islands with Yara/Asha and getting freaky-deeky on the reg.

King’s Landing and the other kingdom’s attached, will be ruled by Queen Daenerys Targaryen. For that vacancy, read the above Jaime/Cersei theory. However, Dany needs to strengthen ties immediately, and fast, and she knows that she needs to marry someone politically to do it. She won’t marry someone that isn’t at least a good person. And with Tyrion’s advice, Daenerys will seek out the person that needs her most, and she needs most - someone with a valid claim to the throne as well, and someone with much respect.

With Jon being half Stark, half Targaryen, it would be uniting two endlessly warring factions (Stark/Targaryen) together if he were to marry Daenerys, which is ensuring a strong alliance with the Kingdom of the North. No person in their right mind would go against a Stark, Lyanna or Ned’s. And no one in their right mind would upset anyone with dragons.

The fourth kingdom would be the Kingdom of the North. This will be ruled by Sansa Stark, who would be named Queen of the North. She would not be sitting alone, however. Her marriage with Tyrion Lannister is still binding, and as Hand of the Queen, Tyrion is a very important political figure for Daenerys as well. He is someone Dany trusts, and Dany needs to trust Sansa as well. This means that Tyrion and Sansa (who have always been amicable towards one another given the circumstances), would rule the North with the agreement that the first born son is to be an heir of Stark and the second born will be an heir of Lannister. This way there will be a Stark always in Winterfell, and a Lannister heir for Casterly Rock.

There will be a fifth kingdom above the wall, where the Freefolk will be, but also Bran Stark, who will be the Three-Eyed Raven, and therefore a sacred figure. With no more White Walkers, its safe, and it also ensures that the magic stays north of the wall
