Pre-Schools Kindergartens in Pakenham, VIC
Our early learning centre offers the VIC Government-approved Kindergarten program, supporting your child’s development and well-being from now, at school and beyond. In Victoria, 3 and 4-year-old children are able to access a funded kindergarten program led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher. If eligible, your child will be able to participate in the Government-approved Kindergarten program, at no cost, up to a minimum of 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year. Our nursery room is purposely designed to make every baby feel safe exploring and discovering new things. Our spaces are filled with sensory experiences and activities to encourage intentional and responsive play-based learning. We focus on building secure relationships between children and educators, closely following home routines, and supporting each child in meeting their developmental milestones.
Children thrive in our structured Bush Kinder program, designed to connect with nature and enhance social and emotional development in all environments. We also have a cook at the centre providing tasty and nutritious meals for the children when tummies start to growl and can cater to any dietary pakenham childcare centres needs. Our Centre is committed to embedding sustainable practices in our daily rituals through the community vegetable gardens, herb gardens, and worm farm which children have learnt to nurture and care for. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, Community Kids is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children. If you have an infant, we spend one-on-one time with them to establish a connection. We use songs, games, and conversations to strengthen relationships and build language skills.

For variety, our menu rotates regularly, with our chef catering to the unique dietary requirements of every child, including Halal and Kosher. Children’s learning and daily routines are documented and delivered via a safe and secure electronic platform to ensure families are informed and involved in their child’s day. I began my early childhood career in 1990 while completing my Diploma of Community Services in Child Care. Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of senior educator and leadership roles, becoming a Centre Manager in 2000. After relocating to Western Australia in 2008, I returned to Melbourne in 2017 and have continued to lead early learning services with a strong focus on inclusion, quality, and community. Aspire’s Step into Prep program is designed for four-year-olds to confidently prepare for primary school in a supportive and stimulating environment.
Our dedicated team of long-standing educators and teachers creates a safe, calm, and supportive environment for all children to learn and grow. Our Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teachers deliver a Government-approved Kindergarten program, preparing children for school. We have regular music and movement programs, sports incursions, and special events like woodworking and cultural dancing to enrich children’s learning.

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a government-funded support that helps families reduce the out-of-pocket cost of childcare. At Little Stars, we encourage families to apply through myGov before starting care. The amount you receive depends on your family income, activity level (work, study, or volunteering), and the type of care your child attends.
Our programs encourage children to be curious, confident and independent thinkers, who love learning and improving their capabilities. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to supporting children and families and we achieve this by creating strong relationships with parents, guardians and communities. The oral language supports literacy learning and a child’s oral language ability is the best predictor for later success in learning to read and write. Hearing the sounds within a language is the first critical step for all literacy learning. Find a child care, kindergarten or preschool centre near you, and enquire about availability at our centres. Throughout their time at our centre, Children feel a sense of becoming as we prepare them for the next age group or to move on to school.
Story House Early Learning’s daily fee includes meals, nappies, wipes, sunscreen, learning programs, extracurricular activities, digital updates, and supportive care essentials. Everything is designed to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for your child’s growth. Our experienced and caring educators ensure every child feels seen, heard, and valued.

Building meaningful relationships with families is vital to providing consistent, personalised, and high-quality care. My commitment to open communication ensures that families feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their journey with us. The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) helps eligible families access approved and registered child care providers, by partially subsidising the cost of daily fees. Please note, the prices below do not include any child care subsidy you may be entitled to.
Aboriginal people have a long tradition of teaching and learning through sharing their connections with country, community, language and culture. We recognise their continuing connection to the country, and we pay respects to elders past and present. Ongoing communication is maintained with families at all times to ensure that your child is receiving the highest quality care and education. Whatever the weather, children are encouraged to take the lead in playing, exploring and learning in a forest or natural environment.
