The Youden index methodology pointed to 1296 as the optimal threshold for predicting wound complications. At two significant healthcare systems, the rates of red-flag follow-up in colorectal and lung cancers were evaluated by two eCQMs, using electronic health record data repositories. Utilizing clinical data in each measure, abnormal results, appropriate follow-up evidence, and exclusions for unnecessary follow-up were identified.
