"COUNTER SPELL"
Counter-Spell adalah jenis mantra untuk menghambat, menghapus, atau meniadakan efek mantra lain.
Dalam counter spell tidak ada definisi pengklasifikasian hanya secara alami didasarkan pada nama kontranya. Yang dimaksud nama kontra seperti untuk membalikkan mantra charm adalah Counter-Charm, untuk membalikkan mantra curse adalah Counter-Curse.
Counter-Spell dapat di rumuskan :
1. Counter-Spell yang bertindak seperti Charms disebut Counter-Charm.
2. Counter-Spell yang bertindak seperti transfigurasi adalah Untransfigurations.
3. Sebuah Counter-Spell yang dirancang untuk menggagalkan mantra ofensif lain disebut baik Counter-Curse, Counter-Jinx, atau Counter-hex.
4. Counter-Spell yang mencegah kutukan (tapi tidak menghapusnya) yang disebut anti-Jinx.
Undifferentiated counter-spells adalah mantra yang termasuk Counter Spell namun tidak diklasifikasikan ke dalam counter charm, counter jinx, ataupun counter curse.

Alohomora untuk Colloportus
Nox untuk Lumos
Quietus untuk Sonorus
Counter-Charm untuk hiccoughs
Sacrificial Protection untuk the Killing Curse
Yang termasuk Untransfigurations:
Vipera Evanesca untuk Serpensortia.
Animagus reversal spell untuk Animagi.
Pig Into Desk untuk Desk Into Pig.
