in English, Hungarian A sclerosis multiplexben szenvedő betegek klinikai statusának hosszú távú romlása sok esetben független a relapsusoktól és az MRI-n igazolt új laesióktól. A szekunder progresszív sclerosis multiplex esetén az állapotrosszabbodás - megközelítően hat hónapos intervallum alatt - függetlenül halad előre a relapsus(ok)tól. Ugyanakkor a korai gyulladásos aktivitás és a gerincvelő-laesio mértéke hosszú időre előre jelzi a relapsussal kezdődő kórforma lefolyását. A PET-vizsgálatokkal igazolt „rejtett gyulladás” követése pedig sok segítséget nyújthat a betegség progressziójának követéséhez. Ezért a PET-képalkotás reménykeltő eljárássá válhat a jövőben a relapszáló-remittáló sclerosis multiplexből a szekunder progresszív sclerosis multiplexbe történő átmenet monitorozásakor. A legkülönbözőbb neurológiai betegségeknél - beleértve a sclerosis multiplext is - a „neuroaxonalis károsodás” az alapja a permanens rokkantság létrejöttének. Ezzel összefüggően a neurofilamentum-protein agyfolyadékban és vér siponimod alkalmazását a sclerosis multiplex relapsus-remisszióval járó kórformáiban (aktivitással járó szekunder progresszív és relapszáló-remittáló sclerosis multiplexben, valamint a klinikailag izolált szindrómában). The purpose of this study was to evaluate two-body wear and hardness of new generation artificial resin teeth. AS2863619 Ten specimens of four different artificial resin teeth (nanofill composite, nanohybrid composite, microfiller reinforced acrylic and highly modified acrylic) were prepared. Specimens were thermodynamically loaded in a dual-axis chewing simulator (50N, 240,000 cycles, 1.6 Hz, 5/55°C thermocycle). The wear loss was analyzed by using plaster replicas and 3D laser scanner. Vickers hardness was determined before and after thermodynamic loading. Mean Vickers hardness values of highly modified acrylic resin teeth were statistically significantly lower than nanohybrid composite (p⟨0.001), nanofilled composite (p⟨0.001) and microfiller reinforced acrylic resin teeth (p⟨0.001). Mean wear loss of highly modified and microfiller reinforced acrylic resin teeth were statistically significantly lower than nanohybrid composite (p⟨0.001) and nanofilled composite (p⟨0.001) resin teeth. There was a statistically significant difference in wear among the materials. The correlation between hardness and wear was not statistically significant. Increased arterial stiffness is a marker of increased cardiovascular risk. The aim of this study was to compare both pulse wave velocity (PWV) and augmentation index (Aix) measurements in children with CF and to compare them with healthy controls. We hypothesized that children with CF had increased arterial stiffness, although traditional risk factors for CVD were not observed. Forty-four patients and age and sex-matched 30 healthy controls were included in the study. Hemodynamic measurements were compared in both groups, together with traditional risk factors. Peripheral blood pressure parameters of CF and control groups were similar (P > .05). Bodyweight and BMI were significantly lower in the CF group (P  .05). Children with CF have been shown to have increased arterial stiffness compared to healthy children. Although there are not many traditional risk factors, increased arterial stiffness have been demonstrated in children with CF. The effects of this process starting from childhood on the development of CVD in adulthood are not known. Therefore, further studies are needed. © 2020 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.Mucopolysaccharidosis IIIA is a neuronopathic lysosomal storage disease, characterised by heparan sulphate and other substrates accumulating in the brain. Patients develop behavioural disturbances and cognitive decline, a possible consequence of neuroinflammation and abnormal substrate accumulation. Interleukin (IL)-1β and interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra) expression were significantly increased in both murine models and human MPSIII patients. We identified pathogenic mechanisms of inflammasome activation, including that disease-specific 2-O-sulphated heparan sulphate was essential for priming an IL-1β response via the Toll-like receptor 4 complex. However, mucopolysaccharidosis IIIA primary and secondary storage substrates, such as amyloid beta, were both required to activate the NLRP3 inflammasome and initiate IL-1β secretion. IL-1 blockade in mucopolysaccharidosis IIIA mice using IL-1 receptor type 1 knockout or haematopoietic stem cell gene therapy over-expressing IL-1Ra reduced gliosis and completely prevented behavioural phenotypes. In conclusion, we demonstrate that IL-1 drives neuroinflammation, behavioural abnormality and cognitive decline in mucopolysaccharidosis IIIA, highlighting haematopoietic stem cell gene therapy treatment with IL-1Ra as a potential neuronopathic lysosomal disease treatment. © 2020 The Authors. Known UV NLO crystals mainly focus on crystals containing cations, but covalent crystals have rarely been reported. Here we report two covalent NLO crystals, B2 O3 I and B2 O3 II. According to the first-principles calculations, B2 O3 I and II have extremely short absorption edges of about 134 nm and 141 nm, large NLO coefficients of d22 =1.38 pm/V and d24 =0.702 pm/V, as well as sufficient birefringences of 0.037 and 0.031, respectively. Notably, the absorption edges are almost the shortest among NLO crystals. Meanwhile, the NLO coefficients are evidently larger than that of another well-known covalent NLO crystal α-SiO2 and are comparable to those of the commercial UV NLO crystal LiBO3 with Li+ cation. Furthermore, the birefringences are significantly larger than that of α-SiO2 , which are favorable to the phase matching for both crystals.
