Located in suffering: a new qualitative examine involving grief amongst family members associated with missing individuals in the southern area of Sri Lanka.
Numerous benefits have been reported for student-led conferences, such as increased leadership. This competence has been recognized as important for nurses so as to ensure the provision of safe and high-quality care in complex environments. However, research has yet to examine empirically the impact of student-led conferences on students' leadership behaviours.

To examine the impact that participation in a student-led conference had on the self-perceived leadership competence of nursing undergraduates.

Quasi-experimental single group pre-post intervention study.

Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya.

31 students enrolled in two elective modules offered during the final year (fourth year) of a nursing degree programme.

Pre-post assessment of self-perceived leadership behaviours among nursing students involved in planning and organizing a scientific conference. In addition to carrying out the tasks of organizing the Conference, all students participatence.
Although health professional education has the potential to mitigate hospital falls risk, the best methods to develop, deliver and evaluate health professional education remain unclear. This study applied evidence-based approaches to education design to improve falls risk mitigation.

Mixed methods using questionnaires to evaluate health professionals knowledge of evidence-based falls risk assessment and mitigation, followed by semi-structured interviews with individual health professionals.

Five large Australian hospitals.

For each hospital, 10 clinical leaders from nursing and allied health professions were invited to participate in falls workshops.

46 participants received a three-hour education program on the latest evidence in hospital falls risk assessment and how to implement evidence-based falls screening and management. This was based on the "4P" education model (Presage, Planning, Process and Product). They were taught practical skills to enable them to educate other health professionals.

The education workshop significantly changed participants' views about best practice guidelines for falls screening and prevention. Participants felt more confident in assessing falls risk and judging and implementing the best mitigation strategies. They were prepared and motivated to educate others about falls prevention and satisfied with the skills gained.

A high-quality education program grounded in a rigorous quality framework improved health professionals knowledge regarding evidence-based falls prevention. Use of evidence-based rationales for behaviour change promotes effective learning.

This pilot study was a 16-week Telehealth intervention using wearable devices, automated text messaging, and trained health coaching, in primary care clinics of an academic medical center. Thirty patients were enrolled in three cohorts, ages 18-64, BMI > 27, and MVPA < 150 minutes per week. The primary outcome was weight loss per week.

Twenty-two participants had a significant median weight loss of -0.29 kg per week and mean change of -3.9 kg in total weight, -1.8 in BMI, and -3.8% of total bodyweight (all P<.001). MVPA increased 67min per week (P=.003).

This pilot telehealth intervention suggests that, when combined, these tools may be used effectively by primary care teams to promote weight loss and physical activity in their patients.

Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a syndrome that affects the bilateral parietal-occipital region. Here, we describe a rare case of CLIPPERS with PRES. A 47-year-old woman presented with subacute, progressive ataxia symptoms, and radiological and pathological findings were consistent with CLIPPERS. In addition, she had acute convulsions and was unconscious, and brain magnetic resonance imaging fluid-attenuated inversion recovery showed patchy high-intensity posterior cerebral white matter signals, with imaging lesions showing vasogenic oedema, a typical manifestation of PRES. The imaging lesions showed vasogenic oedema in bilateral parietal and occipital lobes and typical 'pepper-like' punctate gadolinium enhancement in pons and bilateral cerebellar hemispheres, which were considered to be caused by merger of CLIPPERS and PRES. Clinical manifestations and imaging lesions disappeared after two months of steroids and symptomatic treatment, supporting the diagnosis of CLIPPERS with PRES. When patients with CLIPPERS show unusual symptoms or atypical vasogenic oedema lesions in the posterior cerebral white matter, the coexistence of PRES should be considered.Multiple sclerosis (MS) and glioblastoma (GBM) are two distinct diseases that affect the central nervous system (CNS). However, perturbation in CNS vasculature are hallmarks of both diseases. ELTD1 (epidermal growth factor, latrophilin, and 7 transmembrane domain containing protein 1 on chromosome 1) is associated with vascular development, and has been linked with tumor angiogenesis. In glioblastomas, we detected over-expression of ELTD1, and found that an antibody targeting ELTD1 could increase animal survival and decrease tumor volumes in a xenograft GBM model. RNA-seq analysis of the preclinical data in the model for GBM identified that some of the molecular pathways affected by the anti-ELTD1 antibody therapy are also found to be associated with MS. AZD6738 In this study, we used molecular-targeted (mt) MR imaging and immunohistochemistry to assess ELTD1 levels in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a mouse model of MS. Specifically, we found that ELTD1 is readily detected in the brains of mice with EAE and is predominantly found in the corpus callosum.
