To evaluate the repairing ability of nano-pearl powder bone substitute in rabbit with defect of distal femur bone.

Thirty-two New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into four groups a nano-pearl powder/recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 (rhBMP-2)/hyaluronic acid group, a nano-pearl powder/hyaluronic acid group, a nano-pearl powder group and a blank control group (
=8 in each group). A defect with the diameter of 7 mm and height of 10 mm was prepared at the distal femoral metaphysis line of the rabbit.Different bone substitutes were planted, and the effect of repair was evaluated by macroscopic observation, imaging examination, and histopathological examination.

The results of imageology showed that the bone repairing effect in the nano-pearl powder/rhBMP-2/hyaluronic acid group was better than that in the pure pearl powder group and the nano-pearl powder/hyaluronic acid group, and which in the 3 experimental groups was better than that in the blank control group; The results of histologyl powder/rhBMP-2/hyaluronic acid group and the nano-pearl powder/hyaluronic acid group (
>0.05), but the osteogenic effect in the nano-pearl powder/hyaluronic acid group was better than that in the pure pearl powder group and the blank control group (both

To explore the difference in odontoblast differentiation capacity between stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED) and dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs), and to examine the expression level of ephrinB1 in odontoblast differentiation of these stem cells.

The stems cells were divided into a SHED group and a DPSCs group. After odontoblast differentiation induction, the above 2 groups were also randomly divided into a 3 d group and a 7 d group, respectively.The calcium deposition was detected by alkaline phosphatase (ALP) staining and alizarin red staining.The mRNA and protein expressions of ephrinB1, dentin matrix protein-1 (DMP-1) and dentin sialophosphoprotein (DSPP) were detected by real-time PCR and Western blotting.

ALP staining and alizarin red staining showed that there was stronger mineralization capacity in the SHED group than that in the DPSCs group. The relative mRNA and protein expressions of DMP-1, DSPP, and ephrinB1 in the SHED group were higher than those in the DPSCs group except for the protein expression of DMP-1 in the SHED 3 d group (all

To provide clues for further study of the relationship between miRNAs and Kawasaki disease (KD) development, and to provide molecular markers for ultimately improve the rate of early diagnosis for KD.

We collected acute, recovery KD children's plasma and normal samples, then used the miRNAs Assay Chip to screen the differentially expressed miRNAs in the plasma from KD children. Subsequently, miR-455-5p, which had identified via miRNAs assay chip, was validated by quantitative real-time PCR via independent cohort.

According to the results of miRNAs Assay chip, we identified a miRNAs panel including 5 miRNAs significantly up-regulated and 5 miRNAs remarkably down-regulated in the plasma from KD children compared to the normal control; miR-455-5p in both of acute and recovery KD children's plasma was remarkably lower than that in the normal control (
<0.001,
=0.013, respectively), and miR-455-5p was also significantly lower than that in the recovery of KD children (
=0.007) by independent cohort vallating miRNAs play an important role in the early diagnosis of KD and become the new molecular marker of KD in the future.
To evaluate residents' knowledge, attitude and behavior towards coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Hunan Province, and to explore the factors influencing behaviors.

A self-designed questionnaire was used to conduct an online survey for 4 139 Hunan residents. INCB024360 The contents included general population information, residents' knowledge, attitude and practice to COVID-19.

Mean scores of knowledge, attitude, and behavior were 29.82±3.16, 6.71±1.12, and 14.93±1.45, respectively. Residents had the highest score of major symptoms of COVID-19 (3.96±0.39), but the lowest was the main transmission routes (3.47±0.89). A total of 22.68% of the residents were very or relatively afraid of the outbreak, but 95.22% of the residents had confidence in defeating COVID-19. In behavior dimension, "handling of suspicious symptoms" had the lowest score (3.58±0.75). The behavior implementation rate of "keep the surfaces of household items clean" (80.50%), "doing more exercise, reasonable diet, working and resting regularly" e a good knowledge, attitude, and behavior to COVID-19. Nevertheless there are still weak links to be improved in all dimensions. It is necessary to strengthen knowledge and behavior of family protection, and care for residents' psychological health, especially persons with low education degree, male and rural residents.
