Buy a Category B+ Driving License Online
The Class B CDL opens up a variety of opportunities for trucking. You can drive large vehicles such as straight trucks or busses. You can also tow a trailer, provided it's part of the vehicle category that is listed in the registration certificate for the vehicle.
But the training and test requirements as well as job opportunities and endorsements may differ between different classes of CDLs. Which one is right for you?
What is a category B+ license?
Category B+ is a form of driving license that allows you to drive that has a trailer or semi-trailer. The trailer and vehicle must have a maximum permissible mass (MAM1) that does not exceed 3,500 kg, and the driver must be at least 18 years old to obtain this license. The Category B+ license is a great choice for those who wish to drive larger vehicles, but don't want to take the Class A CDL test.
The requirements for a Category B+ license differ according to the state, but generally include an uncommercial driver's license as well as passing a medical test. You may also be required to complete a driving or safety course, and pass a written test. You may have to be 21 years old in some states to get a Class B CDL. Find out the requirements of your state.
Drivers who passed their car test before January 1, 1997 and possess an e-license of category B can drive a motorcar with trailer, as long as the MAM1 (the total weight of the trailer and the vehicle) does not exceed 3,500kg. They will not be allowed to drive any vehicle that falls within the subcategory of D1+E or C1+E. To upgrade their licence, they must pass the required driving test.
In certain EEA member states drivers who have completed their category B driving test will not be required to take the category BE driving exam. They can tow a trailer up to a maximum mass of 12,000 kilograms with their category B license. This exemption is noted on the registration certificate for the vehicle.
Class B CDL requirements differ from state to state, however, they must have an excellent driving record and passing a physical examination. You may also be required to go through a program of training that mixes classroom learning with hands-on driving experience. You can also add endorsements such as passenger transport and a small HAZMAT to your class B license that will expand your employment opportunities.
What are the requirements for B+ category licenses?
A category B+ driving license is a great way to move up the ladder to commercial vehicle licensing. While it doesn't have quite as many endorsements as a Class A license, it still opens the door to a variety of career opportunities and allows you to drive vehicles that aren't accessible on the regular vehicle or truck (C) licence.
You must be at least 18 years old and have an excellent driving record. You must also pass a medical examination. Based on the type of work you're looking to do there are specific requirements for certain types of vehicles. A category B+ driving licence is valid for 5 years, which is not the case with other driving licenses. You may be required to take additional medical tests or other tests to renew your driving license. Some countries require drivers to undergo specific training prior to being allowed to drive certain types of vehicles.

In order to obtain a category B+ driving licence you must pass a driving test on the category B vehicle with trailers whose maximum authorized mass is not greater than 3,500 kilograms. This is an obligation in Norway and EEA Member States with the exception of Denmark.
If you pass the driver's exam in a category B vehicle prior to 19th January 2013, your driver's license will be automatically upgraded to include the full category B+E entitlement. To operate any vehicle larger than a category A vehicle you will have to take a second test in the subcategories D1+E or C1+E. This also includes vehicles that carry a towed vehicle or passenger.
