Infective endocarditis (IE) is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. Underlying congenital heart disease and acquired valvular disease significantly increases the IE risk, which is still prevalent in developing countries. Gram-negative organism related IE prevalence appears to be rising with limited data on their presentation and outcomes. This study hopes to shed further light on this subject. This retrospective cross-sectional study occurred in a tertiary care center in South India. A retrospective cross-sectional study performed in a single tertiary care center in South India. All patients with IE from 2006 to 2016 were included in this study. The details of clinical presentation, laboratory investigations, clinical course, microbiology, and outcomes were obtained. Patients fulfilling the modified Duke's criteria and a culture-proven diagnosis of gram-negative IE were eligible for inclusion. A total of 27 patients were enrolled from Jan 2006 to Dec 2016, among whom 78% were male. Prior structural-hospital mortality was similar to patients with IE secondary to common organisms. The presence of renal dysfunction was an independent risk factor for an adverse outcome.
Real-time relevant information helps guide the healthcare decision-making process in daily clinical practice as well as the management and optimization of healthcare processes. However, proprietary business intelligence suite solutions supporting the production of decision-making information requires investment that is out of reach of small and mediumsized healthcare facilities or those with limited resources, particularly in developing countries. This paper describes our experience in designing and implementing a real-time healthcare monitoring system solution to manage healthcare emergency units.
Through the use of free Business Intelligence tools and Python data science language we designed a real-time monitoring system, which was implemented to explore the Electronic Medical Records system of a university mental health emergency unit and render an electronic dashboard to support health professional daily practice.
Three main dashboards were created to monitor patient waiting time, to access the clinical notes summary for the next waiting patient, and to obtain insights into activity during the last 24 hours.
The designed system could serve as a monitoring support model using free and user-friendly data science tools, which are good alternatives to proprietary business intelligence solutions and drastically reduce cost. Still, the key to success in decision-making systems is based on investment in human resources, business intelligence skills training, the organizational aspect of the decision-making process, and data production quality insurance.

We collected data from Twitter (https//twitter.com/), a major social media platform in Korea and Japan. Python 3.7 Library was used for data collection. Data analysis included KR-WordRank and frequency analyses in Korea and Japan, respectively. Heat diagrams, word clouds, and rank flowcharts were also used.
Overall, 1,470,673 and 4,195,457 tweets were collected from Korea and Japan, respectively. The word trend in Korea and Japan was analyzed every 5 days. The word cloud analysis revealed "COVID-19", "Shinchonji", "Mask", "Daegu", and "Travel" as frequently used words in K general public's relaxation regarding COVID-19 was also observed.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution is changing the way health is understood, transforming the methods of treatment and diagnosis as well as the relationship between health professionals and patients and altering the management and organization of health systems. The main objective of this study was to explore the impact that the Fourth Industrial Revolution is having on the health sector.
Conducting interviews consisting of four questions with 10 professionals who had experience working in the health sector to gain their insights and to obtain information to meet the general objective of the study as well as its specific objectives.
From the analysis of the respondents' responses, it was possible to create five dimensions developed by the topics most addressed by respondents, namely, impact on healthcare efficiency and effectiveness, impact on government action, impact on human resources, impact on health system organization, and financial impact on the health sector.
Although the Fourth Industrial Revolution is still at an early stage, it has been concluded that it is having a major positive impact on the health sector. For the effective and efficient implementation of these disruptive technologies, a global interaction between governments, health professionals, stakeholders, and society is essential to make this change possible.

Changes in the pancreatic volume (PV) are useful as potential clinical markers for some pancreatic-related diseases. The objective of this study was to measure the volume of the pancreas using computed tomography (CT) volumetry and to evaluate the relationships between sex, age, body mass index (BMI), and sarcopenia.
We retrospectively analyzed the abdominal CT scans of 1,003 subjects whose ages ranged between 10 and 90 years. The pancreas was segmented manually to define the region of interest (ROI) based on CT images, and then the PVs were measured by counting the voxels in all ROIs within the pancreas boundary. Sarcopenia was identified by examination of CT images that determined the crosssectional area of the skeletal muscle around the third lumbar vertebra.
The mean volume of the pancreas was 62.648 ± 19.094 cm3. The results indicated a negative correlation between the PV and age. There was a positive correlation between the PV and BMI for both sexes, females, and males (r = 0.343, p < 0.001; r = 0.
