We performed a study on a series of well-characterized in vitro ovarian cancer models including TOV21G, TOV112D and OV90 originally derived from clear cell, endometrioid and high grade serous carcinoma respectively. Cells were treated with 0-100 ng/ml TNFα over 6-72 h. TNFα stimulation of NFκB was confirmed via Western blot. We found TNFα facilitated continued growth of TOV21G and TOV112D cells in an NFκB independent method. In contrast, TNFα inhibited OV90 cell growth in an NFκB dependent manner. TNFα stimulated production of IL-6, IL-8, MCP-1 and RANTES on all three cells lines, but only IL-6 and IL-8 were via NFκB mediated mechanisms. These results indicate TNFα may have diverse effects mediated through both NFκB and non-NFκB pathways on ovarian cancer cells. Understanding the role for TNFα in each subtype may have significant implications for charting disease progression and designing personalized treatments.The main focus of current research is on the synthesis and anticorrosive activity of novel heterocyclic compounds tert-butyl 4-[(4-methyl phenyl) carbonyl] piperazine-1-carboxylate [TBMPCPC]. Electrochemical, quantum chemical, and surface characterization studies at elevated temperatures (303-333 K) for carbon steel in 1M HCl solution studied this molecule's corrosion inhibition property. It is observed from the results of electrochemical studies that the TBMPCPC may be able to effectively protect the steel plate surface with an inhibition efficiency of 91.5 % at 25 ppm in corrosive media. The corrosion inhibition depends on concentration, as concentration also increases inhibition efficiency due to the strong and spontaneous adsorption on the metal's surface. The Tafel polarization measurements concluded that the inhibitor works as a mixed form to protect the carbon steel in the bulk solution from corrosion. The adsorption of the TBMPCPC onto the metal surface was in reliable with the isothermal model of the Langmuir adsorption. The scanning electron microscopy clearly showed that the inhibitor was substantially deposited on the metal surface, indicating substantial inhibition. The surface morphology of carbon steel in the absence and existence of an inhibitor in 1 M HCl is also studied using the Atomic Force Microscopic method.
Suicide, a major public health concern, is a leading cause of injury and death worldwide. The present study aims to assess suicidal behaviors and suicide risk among Bangladeshi people during COVID-19.

A cross-sectional online survey was conducted from July 10 to July 20, 2020, involving 1,415 Bangladeshi residents ages 18 years or older. Data was collected via an anonymous online questionnaire. The Suicide Behaviors Questionnaire-Revised was used to assess suicide risk. The depression and anxiety subscales of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 21 were used to assess depression and anxiety. Logistic regression analyses and Pearson's correlation were performed to examine the association of variables.

The prevalence of suicide ideation and planning among Bangladeshi people during the COVID-19 pandemic was 19.0% and 18.5%, respectively. Having suicidal risk during the COVID-19 pandemic was reported by 33.5% participants. Suicide risk was associated higher with females, divorced or widowed marital statuses and low educational attainment (i.e., secondary or below and higher secondary/diploma). Additionally, living in high COVID-19 prevalent areas, having economic loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic, relatives or acquaintances die from COVID-19, direct contact with COVID-19 patient(s), and fear of COVID-19 infection were associated with suicide risk.

Groups C and E achieved in the same time a significantly higher ΔE of 14.2 ± 1.7 and 15.6 ± 1.9, respectively. Subsequently adding the opposite single modality to groups A, B and D for 10h did reach an end stage at 8.
