Due to the large volume of pipeline transportation, low cost, safety and the reliability, and automatic control, it is widely used in many fields of industrial development and human daily life. Most of the traditional hydraulic pipelines are steel pipes, and their structure is simple. High resistance and high consumption during transportation are not conducive to the sustainable development of society. However, the human vascular system is intricate and has excellent mechanical properties. Built on the review, research on the fluid-solid coupling characteristics of a single bionic pipeline and piping system was carried out. In order to simulate the mechanical characteristics of a fluid conveying pipeline, a fluid-structure coupling model of equation 14 of a single pipeline and the transfer matrix of the pipeline system were established. The mechanical characteristics of the pipeline are studied, and the formula is calculated. The simulation analysis shows that the axial force and flow resistance decrease first and then stabilize with the increase of frequency. Finally, the experimental verification and the results show that the method is both reasonable and effective, because the simulation curve and the experimental curve are consistent in trend.In order to inspect and improve the system performance of the neuro-interventional surgical robot and its effectiveness and safety in clinical applications, we conducted ten animal experiments using this robotic system. Cerebral angiography was performed on ten experimental animals, and various mechanical performance indicators, operating time, X-ray radiation dosage to the experimental animals and the experimenter, and arterial damage in the experimental animals were recorded when the robotic system completed cerebral angiography. The results show that the robotic system can successfully complete the cerebral angiography surgery, and the mechanical performance is up to standard. The operating time is almost the same as the physician's operating time. And the mean X-ray radiation dosage received by the experimental animals and experimenter was 0.893 Gy and 0.0859 mSv, respectively. There were no complications associated with damage to the vascular endothelium. The robotic system can basically complete the relevant assessment indicators, and its system performance, effectiveness, and safety in clinical applications meet the standards, basically meeting the requirements of clinical applications of neurointerventional surgery.This paper puts forward a decision model for allocation of intensive care unit (ICU) beds under scarce resources in healthcare systems during the COVID-19 pandemic. The model is built upon a portfolio selection approach under the concepts of the Utility Theory. A binary integer optimization model is developed in order to find the best allocation for ICU beds, considering candidate patients with suspected/confirmed COVID-19. Experts' subjective knowledge and prior probabilities are considered to estimate the input data for the proposed model, considering the particular aspects of the decision problem. Since the chances of survival of patients in several scenarios may not be precisely defined due to the inherent subjectivity of such kinds of information, the proposed model works based on imprecise information provided by users. A Monte-Carlo simulation is performed to build a recommendation, and a robustness index is computed for each alternative according to its performance as evidenced by the results of the simulation.Problematic smartphone use (PSU) has become a prevalent issue worldwide. Previous studies suggest that physical exercising may effectively reduce smartphone users' addiction levels. Comparisons and further evaluations on the long-term effects of different types of exercise-based interventions on treating PSU remain to be investigated. Objective. We investigated if group-based basketball and Baduanjin exercise (a type of Qigong) would reduce PSU and improve the mental health of college students and whether such effects would be sustained. A twelve-week experiment was conducted, where 96 eligible Chinese college students with PSU were randomly assigned to two intervention arms (i.e., basketball and Baduanjin exercises) and a control arm. Outcome measures, including PSU (measured by the Mobile Phone Addiction Index in Chinese (MPAI)) and mental health indices for anxiety (measured by Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SRAS)), loneliness (measured by the short-form of the UCLA Loneliness Scale (UCLA-LS)), inadequacy (mea0.01; Baduanjin p=0.03), loneliness (basketball p less then 0.01; Baduanjin p less then 0.01), and inadequacy (basketball p less then 0.01; Baduanjin p=0.01), but not for feeling of stress. Furthermore, group-based basketball demonstrated larger improvements for all these significant results on reducing PSU and meanwhile improving their related mental health parameters among college students.Crinum asiaticum Linn. click here has been used in Thai traditional medicine to relieve inflammatory symptoms and treat osteoarthritis. There have been reports on its potent anti-inflammatory property but nothing on the effects of different pretreatments on its chemical properties and anti-inflammatory activity. Pretreatment of herbal raw materials is an important step which affects the overall quality of Thai traditional medicine. The objectives of this study were to investigate different treatments of C. asiaticum leaves prior to ethanolic extraction and to compare the extracts for their anti-inflammatory activity and chemical properties. The treatments included hot air drying in an oven, microwave drying, traditional grilling on a charcoal stove before drying in an oven, and temperature shock in hot and cold water before hot air drying. The anti-inflammatory activity and chemical properties of the extracts were analyzed using the established methods. Results showed that 95% ethanolic extract of hot air oven-dried leaves had the highest anti-inflammatory activity and total phenolic and lycorine contents. We recommend hot air drying as a preextraction treatment for C. asiaticum leaves for its simplicity, best retention of the herbal quality, and suitability for scaling up to an industrial process.
