Neuroimaging regarding Lightheadedness along with Vertigo.
Central neurocytomas are rare, mostly benign neuroectodermal tumors of the central nervous system typically located within the lateral and third ventricles of cerebrum. No consensus guidelines for the management of central neurocytoma available due to the rarity of the disease.

We report a case of right ventricular central neurocytoma of a 28-year-old lady who had a subtotal resection and ventriculoperitoneal shunting. Postoperatively, she was treated with concomitant chemotherapy with oral temozolomide and radiotherapy, followed by add-on chemotherapy with same drug. Imaging, microscopic evaluation, treatment modalities, and outcome of treatment are presented.

Subtotal resection of tumor through transcallosal approach and ventriculoperitoneal shunt was performed. Imaging done 2 weeks postsurgery confirmed residual disease. Concurrent chemoradiotherapy (54 Gy in 30 fractions +Oral Temozolomide 75 mg/m
daily), followed by six cycles of 5-day chemotherapy with temozolomide (150 mg/m
in Cycle 1, and 175 mg/m
in subsequent cycles) at 28-day intervals, was given. No major toxicities encountered. Follow-up scan after 36 months showed complete remission.

Parents are active participants in the referral process of children with non-life-threatening surgical pathologies. Nonetheless, there is scarce literature about the influence of parent's level of income and perception of their children's conditions on their decision process. Our study aims at expanding our knowledge about this parameter. We focused our research on parents of children spina bifida occulta (SBO), a condition that with a broad clinical impact and that often requires timely referral.

Questionnaires in Mandarin were administered to parents of patients presenting to the neurosurgery clinic of a children's hospital in Shanghai. Inavolisib cost Participants were grouped according to the level of income, above and below 50,000 Yuan. The SBO was classified into two groups, with and without evident subcutaneous mass.

One hundred and forty-five participants completed the questionnaire. Regardless of the type of lesion, families with lower income attributed their concerns for seeking care to their local physicians and the lack of health resources. Families with higher income exhibited fear of treatment. The lower income cohort presented for treatment at an older age than a higher income group. Patients with subcutaneous mass presented for treatment at a younger age than those that did not exhibit mass.

Parental social economic background and visual presentation of SBO have to be factored when analyzing their decision-making process when seeking care for their children. Parental factors can be barriers to surgical care. Healthcare providers must bring parents to the forefront of the treatment process.

Most of the literature on their coexistence describes meningiomas located in the close vicinity to PA, that is, in the sellar/parasellar region. We describe a case of a 65-year-old lady with a nonfunctioning PA and an associated frontal convexity meningioma with frontal sinus invasion. The imaging was nonspecific for the meningioma, and its association with concomitant PA has not been reported before.
Overdrainage after cerebrospinal fluid diversion remains a significant morbidity. The hydrostatic, gravitational force in the upright position can aggravate this. Siphon control (SC) mechanisms, as well as programmable and flow regulating devices, were developed to counteract this. However, limited studies have evaluated their safety and efficacy. In this study, direct comparisons of the complication rates between siphon control (SC) and non-SC (NSC), fixed versus programmable, and flow- versus pressure regulating valves are undertaken.

A retrospective chart review was performed over all shunt implantations from January 2011 to December 2016 within the Houston Methodist Hospital system. Complication rates within 6 months of the operative date, including infection, subdural hematoma, malfunction, and any other shunt-related complication, were analyzed via Fisher's exact test, with
< 0.05 regarded as significant. Subgroup analyses based on diagnoses - normal pressure hydrocephalus (HCP), pseudotumor cce in complication rates between these various shunt designs. The subjective features of psychological phenomena have been studied intensively in experimental science in recent years. Although various methods have been proposed to identify subjective features of psychological phenomena, there are elusive subjective features such as the spatiotemporal structure of experience, which are difficult to capture without some additional methodological tools. We propose a new experimental method to address this challenge, which we call the contrast-based experimental phenomenological method (CEP). CEP proceeds in four steps (i) front-loading phenomenology, (ii) online second-personal interview, (iii) questionnaire survey, and (iv) hypotheses testing. It differs from other experimental phenomenological methods in that it takes advantage of phenomenal contrasts in collecting phenomenological data. In this paper, we verify the validity and productivity of this method by applying it to binocular rivalry (BR). The study contributes to empirical research on BR in three respects. First, it provides additional evidence for existing propositions about the subjective features of BR e.
