We aim to provide a new angle to understand immuno-oncology and new strategies for cancer immunotherapy.Fatigue associated with arthritis is highly prevalent and interferes with patients' daily routines. An interdisciplinary research team developed the Tablet-based Cognitive Behavioral Intervention (Tab-CBI) for older adults with arthritis fatigue. The goal of the Tab-CBI is to alleviate fatigue by promoting a simple walking activity. The Tab-CBI application used off-the-shelf technologies and was implemented on a mini-tablet computer. The four key components of Tab-CBI are (a) multimedia cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)-based educational modules; (b) videoconferencing communication; (c) individualized goal setting; and (d) electronic data submission. Experts perceived that the Tab-CBI was engaging and user friendly, and effective in improving simple walking routines and alleviating fatigue. Experts' feedback was incorporated into refining the Tab-CBI. The current study demonstrated that the Tab-CBI has potential to be a useful innovation for fatigue management in older adults. Hartford Foundation and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in partnership with the American Hospital Association and the Catholic Health Association of the United States. This initiative focuses on bringing the 4Ms framework-What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility-to caring for older adults. A quality improvement project was conducted at the CSA to integrate the 4Ms framework into the CSA ambulatory clinical pathway. Our interventions found upward trends in patients receiving 4Ms care during their new patient visits. Positive preliminary feedback was also obtained from providers following the incorporation of the 4Ms framework in the high-risk rounds discussion. A focus on high-risk medications and deprescribing illustrated positive clinical outcomes. This ongoing interprofessional collaboration illustrates the importance of person-centered care and quality improvement to achieve Age-Friendly Health Systems status within an ambulatory practice. Nasogastric tube placement is widely taught, and tube maintenance relies on astute nursing care with adherence to both institutional and evidence-based recommendations. However, precise adherence to current recommendations relies on knowledge base regarding the identification of malfunctioning gastric drainage tubes. Troubleshooting skills are crucial in maintaining patient safety and recognizing malfunction.

Educational sessions on nasogastric and orogastric decompression tube management, led by a surgical intensive care fellow at a level 1 trauma center, were offered to critical care nurses. A presession and postsession survey evaluated the nurses' subjective and objective knowledge and comfort with naso/orogastric decompression tube management.

Ninety-seven critical care RNs participated. For all questions, the proportion of correct answers significantly increased from presession survey to postsession survey (p < .001). Ninety-seven percent of all participants found the session to be very helpful.

Overcoming personal, organizational, and publishing barriers to writing is critical for successful publishing. The purpose of this article is to introduce the COMITS model. COMITS is an acronym that represents the following concepts Commitment, Organization, Mechanics, Interpersonal, Time, and Sustainability. Strategies for overcoming barriers are described. Using these strategies associated with the COMITS model provides a framework for overcoming barriers that often prevent nursing faculty and clinicians from publishing. Competency of staff nurse preceptors is an essential factor that determines the success of preceptorship experiences. Competency assessment is complex, and no self-assessment tool exists.

This article describes phase two of the development of the Preceptor Self-Assessment Tool (PSAT). A content validity index (CVI) survey was completed by 11 subject matter experts to determine relevance of items on the PSAT.

The Scale-Level CVI (S-CVI) for the instrument was 0.91, and the items CVI ranged from 0.45 to 1.0; most were above 0.78. One item was dropped and three were collapsed, leaving the final number of items at 64.

The items on the PSAT have undergone content validity and have been found to be highly relevant. Pilot testing in a large sample of preceptors is warranted to further refine the items on the tool. [J Contin Educ Nurs. 2020;51(10)469-476.].

In recent years, simulation educators have focused on in situ simulations wherein they bring education to providers' workplaces in efforts to reduce clinical disruptions and eliminate travel costs. However, these efforts have remained unfulfilling as education rooms must be secured and other providers must replace those attending the on-site education.

The authors propose a super mobile educational modality wherein simulation education is brought to workplaces on a cart. This traveling education cart trains individuals or small groups on one topic or skill at a time, offering learners quick, on-the-job training and refreshers without the need for educational rooms or fill-ins. Education happens whenever there is a need and wherever the cart will fit.

Results reveal that the succinct education offered by this cart is effective and well-received.

This study presents a novel training modality in an efficient, noninvasive, yet effective means for health care providers that may be replicated in other hospitals.
