.. use the books... to connect with patients." 3) Impact on clinic practice (25%) "I... enjoy modeling for parents and use the books to assess... development" 4) Social Determinants of Health (2%) "The books... are an invaluable resource to our under-served population."
Clinicians who implement ROR report positive impact on patients, families, and their own satisfaction and methods in practice. Clinicians value that the program addresses social determinants of health and facilitates developmental surveillance. Further study is needed to understand how clinician's perspectives affect and are affected by their experiences.

The antibody levels against a broad spectrum of pathogens were assessed in commercial intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) manufactured from pooled plasma obtained from different global regions.
Twenty-four IVIG commercial lots from eight manufacturers corresponding to 12 brands were analyzed. The plasma was collected in 10 countries/regions. Depending on each pathogen, antibody levels were measured using specific commercial IgG-specific enzyme immunoassay kits or by cell culture neutralization test and guinea pig skin neutralization test. A principal component analysis was performed.
For polio and diphtheria (reference markers of the US authorities), all IVIGs had relevant titers in accordance with reference levels. IVIGs from Canada, Australia, and the USA were positive for titers against globally distributed pathogens or those under vaccination programs in the developed world (parainfluenza, Epstein-Barr, varicella-zoster, influenza B, parvovirus B19, and measles viruses). IVIG from Taiwan and Hong Kong showed low antibody titers for these pathogens but high titers for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. IVIG from India had high titers for pathogens frequently found in developing countries (West Nile, dengue, chikungunya, and hepatitis E viruses and Streptococcus pneumoniae). IVIGs from Argentina, Spain, Israel, and Czechia showed intermediate antibody concentrations.
The antibody profile in IVIG was greatly influenced by regional characteristics including climate, vaccination programs, and the prevalence of pathogens in the different countries and regions.

During this period, the critical swimming speed (Ucrit) was measured after 1, 2 and 4 weeks of fasting, as well as in a fed control group. Furthermore, blood samples were taken in each treatment group prior to the swim test, at fatigue, and following 3 h and 24 h of subsequent recovery. Four weeks of fasting gradually reduced the condition factor from 1.03 to 0.89. CDK activation However, the Ucrit remained statistically unaffected at 3.5 body lengths s-1. Exhaustive exercise stress caused large increases in plasma osmolality, [Cl-], [Na+], [Ca2+], [lactate] and [cortisol], while haematocrit and [haemoglobin] also increased. Plasma ions and lactate had increased further after 3 h recovery, and osmolality, [Cl-] and [Na+] were still elevated above control levels after 24 h while other blood parameters were fully recovered. Osmotic disturbances may therefore be considered the most challenging stressor during strenuous exercise in seawater. Only minor effects of fasting period on blood parameters in response to exhaustive exercise were detected, which included slightly higher osmotic disturbances and a repressed response in red blood cell recruitment at fatigue in fasted fish. Furthermore, the 4-week fasting group had a reduced cortisol response following fatigue compared to the other treatment groups. In conclusion, these results show that Atlantic salmon maintain their full swimming capacity as well as their ability to respond and recover from acute stress during an extended period of food deprivation.
The current study evaluated the association of echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR), and ferritin data with 10-year survival in thalassemia patients.
Demographics, ferritin, echocardiography, and CMR parameters of stable consecutive thalassemia patients were prospectively collected.
In total, 75 patients (mean age 37±11years, 45% male) with thalassemia were included and dichotomized based on their survival status after a median follow-up period of 10.3 [9.6-10.9] years. Older age (HR 1.071, p=0.001), ferritin ≥2000ng/ml (HR 4.682, p=0.007) and ≥1700ng/ml (HR 7.817, p=0.002), elevated LV end-diastolic pressure (HR 1.019, p=0.044), TR Vmax >2.8m/s (HR 6.845, p=0.005), and CMR T2∗ ≤20 msec (HR 3.602, p=0.043) and ≤34 msec (HR 5.854, p=0.026) were associated with increased all-cause mortality (primary endpoint). A baseline model including age was created and became more predictive of worse survival by adding TR Vmax >2.8m/s instead of elevated LV end-diastolic pressure (C index 0.767 vs.ival. In the current era of advanced chelation therapy, aiming for ferritin ≤1700 ng/ml and CMR T2∗ ≥34 ms may improve their prognosis.
This study sought to develop and validate a risk score to predict mortality in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) after a hospitalization for cardiac reasons.
The new risk score was derived from a prospective cohort of hospitalized patients with concurrent AF. The outcome measures were all-cause and cardiovascular mortality. Random forest was used for variable selection. A risk points model with predictor variables was developed by weighted Cox regression coefficients and was internally validated by bootstrapping.
In total, 1130 patients with AF were included. During a median follow-up of 2years, 346 (30.6%) patients died and 250 patients had a cardiovascular cause of death. N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide and high-sensitivity troponin-T were the most important predictors of mortality, followed by indexed left atrial volume, history and type of heart failure, age, history of diabetes mellitus, and intraventricular conduction delay, all forming the BASIC-AF risk score (Biomarkers, Age, ultraSound, Intraventricular conduction delay, and Clinical history).
