Psychological subtypes throughout individuals with crucial tremor seeking deep human brain activation.
Many studies have evaluated the association between aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2) C-344T polymorphism and preeclampsia (PE) susceptibility, however, the results from different studies are inconsistent.

The study aimed to derive a more precise estimation of this association.

We searched PubMed, Embase, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, China Biological Medicine, and Wanfang Database. The association was evaluated by calculating the odds ratios (ORs) with the corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs).

Seven case-control studies with a total of 720 cases and 766 controls were eligible to be included in this meta-analysis. Overall, there was no significant association between CYP11B2 C-344T polymorphism and PE (for the allele model T vs.C OR=0.78, 95%CI 0.60-1.01, p=0.06; for the codominant model CT vs. CC OR=1.08, 95%CI 0.80-1.46, p=0.63; for the dominant model TT + CT vs. CC OR=0.91, 95%CI 0.68-1.20, p=0.49). Similar results were obtained in sensitivity analysis.

In summary, the present meta-analysis suggests that CYP11B2 C-344T polymorphism may not be associated with genetic susceptibility of PE, but the association remains indeterminate due to the insufficient evidence.
In summary, the present meta-analysis suggests that CYP11B2 C-344T polymorphism may not be associated with genetic susceptibility of PE, but the association remains indeterminate due to the insufficient evidence.Repeated implantation failure (RIF) greatly influences pregnancy rate after assisted reproductive technologies (ART) with elusive causes. Our study aimed to explore coagulation parameters in association with RIF and establish a model to predict the risk of RIF in Chinese women.Coagulation parameters, including prothrombin time (PT), thrombin time (TT), activated partial prothrombin time (APTT), D-dimer (DD), fibrin degradation products (FDP), fibrinogen (FG), and platelet aggregation induced by arachidonic acid (AA) and adenosine diphosphate (ADP) were measured in RIF patients and controls. A logistic regression model was built by using the purposeful selection to select important factors for the prediction of RIF.Between 92 RIF patients and 47 controls, we found a statistically significant difference in all of the coagulation parameters except APTT, FDP and platelet aggregation induced by ADP. The purposeful selection method selected PT (odds ratio [OR] = 0.28, 95% CI 0.12-0.66, P = .003), APPT (odds ratio [OR] = 0.76, 95% CI 0.63-0.91, P = .004), TT (odds ratio [OR] = 0.75, 95% CI 0.53-1.08, P = .124), and platelet aggregation induced by AA (odds ratio [OR] = 1.27, 95% CI 1.11-1.44, P = .0003) as important predictors of RIF risk. ROC curve analysis indicated that the area under ROC curve (AUC) of the model was 0.85 with an optimal cut-off point of the predicted probability being P = .65, leading to a sensitivity of 0.83 and a specificity 0.75.We found that coagulation parameters including PT, APTT, TT and platelet aggregation induced by AA are predictive of RIF in Chinese women. Our results highlight the potential of anti-coagulation therapies to lower the risk of RIF.Radiodermatitis is a common side effect of radiotherapy, but currently there is no standard treatment for its prevention. This study aimed to observe the effect of topical application of a paste based on traditional Chinese medicine, Jiawei Simiao Yongan Gao, on radiodermatitis caused by radiotherapy for patients with head and neck cancer. This was a retrospective cohort study of 40 patients with head and neck cancer evaluated during their radiotherapy. Of these, 20 patients were treated with Jiawei Simiao Yongan Gao on the irradiated skin from the beginning of radiotherapy (JSY group). The other 20 patients were given standard nursing (standard group). Acute skin reactions were classified according to the radiation-induced skin reaction assessment scale (RISRAS) and American radiation therapy oncology group (RTOG) acute toxicity grading criteria every 2 weeks, and adverse effects were recorded until the end of the radiotherapy. The two groups showed differences in severity of radiodermatitis. At 0 to 30 Gy, the skin reactions were similar in the two groups, while above 40 Gy the skin reactions were significantly lower grade in the JSY group (P  .05); but above 30 Gy they were lower in the JSY group (P  less then  .05).Jiawei Simiao Yongan Gao effectively alleviated acute radiodermatitis caused by radiotherapy of head and neck cancer patients compared with standard nursing.Atrial fibrillation is the most common cardiac arrhythmia. Anticoagulation therapy effectively reduces systemic embolization in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, but intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) is a major possible complication. This study assessed the real-time rate of rivaroxaban-associated ICH in Saudi patients. We retrospectively reviewed patients with ICH during rivaroxaban therapy, assessing clinical features and outcomes.Four cases out of 690 patients were identified in total, indicating an incidence of ICH during rivaroxaban therapy of 0.58%. Hematoma expansion developed in 1 case. Three out of four patients were discharged after ICH, and 1 patient died. The incidence of rivaroxaban-related ICH was similar to that previously reported, and the risk of hematoma expansion was low. Further studies are required to validate our results. To investigate the effect of multidisciplinary interventions on pain management in cancer inpatients.Four hundred thirty eight patients with cancer pain, who performed the multidisciplinary intervention were recruited. Before and after intervention, the Brief Pain Inventory (BPI) and the MD Anderson Symptom Inventory (MDASI) score as the primary endpoints and QOL scores as the secondary endpoint were all evaluated. To investigate the factors that led to different responses to multidisciplinary interventions, patients were classified as non-responders or responders. Finally, 92 patients (63 male and 29 female) scheduled for cancer pain management by inter-professional team were studied. this website After individualized multidisciplinary therapy, both pain and symptom severity was improved, as demonstrated by lowered BPI worst and average pain scores, as well as symptom severity score measured by MDASI (P = .017, P = .003, and P = .011, respectively). The proportion of patients with mild pain increased regarding the BPI worst and average pain at baseline and after treatment (P  less then  .
