Study involving filling device holes straight into gentle muscle via sound and also power sensing: may sound be described as a easy alternative regarding needle assistance?
On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organization announced the novel coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic due to the rapid growth in the number of cases worldwide. NSC 707545 The ability of countries to contain and mitigate interventions is crucial in controlling the exponential spread of the novel virus. Several social distancing and control measurements have been applied in Saudi Arabia to mitigate COVID-19 epidemic such as quarantine, schools closure, suspending travels, reducing crowds, people movement restrictions, self-isolation and contacts tracing. This research aims to study the country interventions in Saudi Arabia and their impact on decreasing the spread of COVID-19. This paper examined different control measurements scenarios produced by a modified SEIR mathematical model with an emphasis on testing capacity expansion and number of critical cases. The modified SEIR mathematical model is solved numerically using Rung-Kutta analysis method for solving the modified SEIR system of ordinary differential equations. The simulation results revealed that the interventions are vital to flatten the virus spread curve. Early implementation of country interventions can delay the peak and decrease the population fatality rate. The data security of fog computing is a key problem for the Internet of things. Identity-based encryption (IBE) from lattices is extremely suitable for fog computing. It is able to not only simplify certificate management, but also resist quantum attacks. In this paper, firstly, we construct a novel efficient lattice-based IBE scheme with Combined Public Key (CPK) technique by keeping from consumptive trapdoor generation algorithm and preimage sampling algorithm, which is required by the existing lattice-based IBE schemes based on learning with errors (LWE). In addition, its key storage cost is lower and it is IND-ID-CPA secure in the random oracle model. Furthermore, based on this, an enhanced lattice-based IBE scheme with IND-ID-CCA security is developed by employing strong one-time signature. Our schemes only need O(n3/log n) additions of vectors, while the existing schemes need at least O(n3) of additions and multiplications in Setup and Extract phase.Healthcare associated transmission of viral infections is a major problem that has significant economic costs and can lead to loss of life. Infections with the highly contagious SARS-CoV-2 virus have been shown to have a high prevalence in hospitals around the world. The spread of this virus might be impacted by the density of patients inside hospital bays. To investigate this aspect, in this study we consider a mathematical modelling and computational approach to describe the spread of SARS-CoV-2 among hospitalised patients. We focus on 4-bed bays and 6-bed bays, which are commonly used to accommodate various non-COVID-19 patients in many hospitals across the United Kingdom (UK). We investigate the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infections among patients in non-COVID bays, in the context of various scenarios placing the initially-exposed individual in different beds, varying the recovery and incubation periods, having symptomatic vs. asymptomatic patients, removing infected individuals from these hospital bays once they are known to be infected, and the role of periodic testing of hospitalised patients. Our results show that 4-bed bays reduce the spread of SARS-CoV-2 compared to 6-bed bays. Moreover, we show that the position of a new (not infected) patient in specific beds in a 6-bed bay might also slow the spread of the disease. Finally, we propose that regular SARS-CoV-2 testing of hospitalised patients would allow appropriate placement of infected patients in specific (COVID-only) hospital bays.ObjectThe current study was performed to construct a model with microRNA (miRNA/miR) expression profile and TNM staging system for prognosis predicting in patients with lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). MethodsDifferentially expressed miRNAs were identified from miRNA data of LUAD in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Potential prognostic miRNAs and TNM classification parameters, screened out by Cox proportional hazards regression analysis, were included in the prognostic model. The prognostic model was visualized with a nomogram, and tested by calculating the C-index and drawing the calibration curve in the training set and validating set, respectively. Finally, the prognostic miRNAs were analyzed with bioinformatics tools. ResultsA total of 194 differentially expressed miRNAs were identified between LUAD tissues and matched normal tissues, including 99 up-regulated and 95 down-regulated miRNAs. miRNA index (miR.index), constructed with nine miRNAs (hsa-let-7i, hsa-mir-1976, hsa-mir-199a-1, hsa-mir-31, hsa-mir-3940, hsa-mir-450a-2, hsa-mir-4677, hsa-mir-548v and hsa-mir-6803), was an independent prognostic indicator for the survival of patients with LUAD. Bioinformatics analysis suggests that the selected miRNAs are involved in the development and progress of LUAD. ConclusionThe prognostic model constructed with nine miRNA expression profile and TNM classification parameters can predict the survival in patients with LUAD, and the predictive power of the model are warranted for further validations. In the present study, we have modified the traditional May-Holling-Tanner predator-prey model used to represent the interaction between least-weasel and field-vole population by adding an Allee effect (strong and weak) on the field-vole population and alternative food source for the weasel population. It is shown that the dynamic is different from the original May-Holling-Tanner predator-prey interaction since new equilibrium points have appeared in the first quadrant. Moreover, the modified model allows the extinction of both species when the Allee effect (strong and weak) on the prey is included, while the inclusion of the alternative food source for the predator shows that the system can support the coexistence of the populations, extinction of the prey and coexistence and oscillation of the populations at the same time. Furthermore, we use numerical simulations to illustrate the impact that changing the predation rate and the predator intrinsic growth rate have on the basin of attraction of the stable equilibrium point or stable limit cycle in the first quadrant.
