Gastric cancer (GC) is common in East Asia, yet its molecular and pathogenic mechanisms remain unclear. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are differentially expressed in GC and may be promising biomarkers. Here, we investigated the role and regulatory mechanism of circTMC5 in GC.
CircTMC5 expression was detected in human GC and adjacent tissues using microarray assays and qRT-PCR, while the clinicopathological characteristics of patients with GC were used to assess its diagnostic and prognostic value. The circTMC5/miR-361-3p/RABL6 axis was examined in vitro and vivo, and the immune roles of RABL6 were evaluated using bioinformatics analyses and immunohistochemistry (IHC).
CircTMC5 was highly expressed in GC tissues, plasma, and cell lines, and was closely related to histological grade, pathological stage, and T classification in patients with GC. CircTMC5 expression was also an independent prognostic factor for GC and its combined detection with carcinoembryonic antigen may improve GC diagnosis. Low circTMC5 expression correlated with good prognosis, inhibited GC cell proliferation, and promoted apoptosis. Mechanistically, circTMC5 overexpression promoted GC cell proliferation, invasion, and metastasis but inhibited apoptosis by sponging miR-361-3p and up-regulating RABL6 in vitro and vivo, whereas miR-361-3p up-regulation had the opposite effects. RABL6 was highly expressed in GC and was involved in immune regulation and infiltration in GC.

This study aimed to evaluate the excessive anterior tibial translation (ATT) and muscle strength of patients with ramp lesions. We hypothesised that the higher ATT, lower hamstring-to-quadriceps (HQ) ratio, and higher flexion peak torque influenced by semimembranosus would be associated with ramp lesions.
One hundred and twenty-one patients who underwent anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction were retrospectively evaluated. Male sex (odds ratio [OR], 2.913; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.090-7.787;P = 0.033), longer time between injury to surgery (OR, 2.225; 95% CI, 1.074-4.608;P = 0.031), and higher ATT in the contralateral uninjured limb (OR, 1.502; 95% CI, 1.046-2.159;P = 0.028) were indicated as the independent risk factors of the presence of ramp lesion associated with an ACL injury.
Male sex, longer period from injury to surgery, and higher ATT in the contralateral uninjured limb were significantly associated with ramp lesion. These findings are advantageous for identifying patients with a greater risk of developing a ramp lesion with an ACL injury in the clinical setting.

Level IV.This study aims to analyze the stability of a gravity-driven thin film flow in the heated/cooled interior surface of a vertical hollow cylinder. The model development involves simplifying the flow and energy equations using the usual thin-film approximation, where the average film thickness is considered to be much smaller than the radius of cylinder. A dispersion relation is then derived to study the temporal stability of the system in order to quantify the effect of various non-dimensional parameters present in the model, such as the thermoviscous number, Marangoni number, Biot number, and Bond number. Another non-dimensional parameter is introduced by considering an opposing suction pressure in the annulus region. The thermocapillary stress and the thermoviscous effect are shown to strongly affect the temporal stability of the flow. It is shown that although the suction pressure affects the velocity profile of the flow, it does not affect the temporal stability results. The suction pressure is then shown to have some effect on the spatiotemporal stability. Critical condition is presented for the transition between absolutely and convectively unstable systems, and parameter regimes are presented to quantify the effect of the above-mentioned parameters.Positive psychology research has led to the development of brief interventions designed to promote positive emotions positive psychological interventions (PPIs). PPIs align well with Indigenous views on health, which tend to be strengths-based, holistic, and encompassing the whole body (including the medicine wheel's four dimensions of spirit, mind, heart, and body). This paper provides a framework for the adaptation of PPIs for Indigenous communities and a review of preliminary data on the relationships between positive psychological characteristics and health outcomes including substance use. Implications include the potential widespread impact of culturally adapted PPIs given their alignment with Indigenous thoughts on health and relative ease of administration.
