Main outcome measures The AQ-RARC-IT, the Psychobiosocial States Scale (PBS-ST), and a Concentration Disruption scale. Athletes completed the questionnaires at the end of their first competition. We investigated the construct validity, the internal consistency, and the concurrent validity of all measures. Results A confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) supported the two-factor structure of the AQ-RARC-IT yielding acceptable fit indices, CFI = 0.930, TLI = 0.912, RMSEA (90% CI) = 0.100 (.076-.123), and SRMR = 0.082. Concurrent validity was evaluated through Pearson's correlation coefficients between measures. Correlations ranged in magnitude from weak to moderately high. Conclusions Study findings showed satisfactory psychometric properties of the AQ-RARC-IT. The questionnaire can be used for clinical and research purposes.Objectives To evaluate short-term effects of a four-week gait retraining program using visual feedback on trunk flexion angle, patellofemoral joint (PFJ) stress, lower extremity biomechanics and motor skill automaticity. Design Longitudinal interventional study. Settings University research laboratory. Participants Twelve asymptomatic recreational runners (seven male and five female). Main outcome measures Trunk kinematics as well as lower extremity kinematics and kinetics were assessed prior to training at week 1 (baseline) and week 2, 3, 4 and 8 (retention). PFJ stress was computed using a sagittal plane model. A dual-task procedure was performed to examine automaticity. Results At week 8, runners demonstrated 10.1° increase in trunk flexion angle (p less then .001) and 17.8% reduction in peak PFJ stress (p less then .001) compared to baseline. This is associated with a 16.8% decrease in knee extensor moment and less than 2.5° change in knee flexion angle. Participants also showed 33.3% increase in peak hip extensor moment and small reduction in peak ankle plantar flexor moment. Lastly, runners demonstrated automaticity of the modified skill with a dual-task cost of less than 3%. Conclusion The gait retraining program is effective to elicit short term changes in trunk position, PFJ stress, and automaticity of the new motor skill.A coumarin-based fluorescent molecularly imprinted poly (ionic liquid) (FL-MIPIL) was prepared using a new coumarin-based alkenyl fluorescent ionic liquid (coumarin-FL-IL) as the functional monomer, IL [V2C4(mim)2][(PF6)2] and ethyleneglycol dimethacrylate as the cross-linkers, and 4-NP as the template molecule. The absolute quantum yields of coumarin-FL-IL and FL-MIPIL were 7.26 % and 30.66 %, respectively. As a result of the electron transfer between coumarin-FL-IL which contains amino groups and 4-NP bearing hydroxyl groups, FL-MIPIL fluorescence was effectively quenched by 4-NP. The prepared FL-MIPIL sensor can rapidly respond to 4-NP within 60 s. The FL-MIPIL sensor had good linear response to 4-NP from 0.001-7.5 μM and low detection limit of 0.5 nM (S/N = 3). The FL-MIPIL sensor exhibited high sensitivity and good selectivity for 4-NP. The outstanding performance of FL-MIPIL could be ascribed to high fluorescence intensity of FL-MIPIL without matrixes and more interactions between FL-MIPIL and 4-NP. The FL-MIPIL sensor has successfully applied to the determination of 4-NP in lake, rain and waste water samples, river sediment, soil and urine samples.A simple synthesis route for the formation of Cu-Zn-Al-oxide with high surface area and porosity has been presented, tuned, and evaluated for CS2 removal from CO2 stream. Saturation of aqueous suspension of raw Cu, Zn, Al oxides with a stream of CO2 at mild conditions and subsequent thermal treatment was used for preparation of a series of materials with the same (Cu + Zn/Al) molar ratio but differentiated carbonate content. They were characterized by techniques X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential thermal gravimetry with evolved gas analysis (DTG/EGA), N2 sorption, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy SEM-EDS and were subjected to tests for CS2 sorption from the CO2 stream at 90 °C. It was shown that Cu-Zn-Al sorbents can effectively remove CS2 if the specific surface area exceeds 40 m2/g and the mean CuO and ZnO crystallites size is not greater than 15 nm. Obtaining active sorbents of sulphur compounds by CO2 saturation of raw Cu, Zn, Al oxides can be an effective route for preparation of active traps for CS2 removal from CO2 at low temperature.
