In the final model, after logistic regression, there was a statistically significant association (p<0.05) with the variables diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and non-adherence.
The high complexity of medication regimen in patients with coronary artery disease was associated with the presence of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and reports of non-adherence to treatment.

To analyze the association between climate changes in the macroregions in the state of São Paulo and testicular torsion treated cases.
The cases were selected in the Brazilian Public Health Data System Database from January 2008 to November 2016. All surgical procedure records were identified by the Hospital Admission Authorization document. Two codes were selected to process the search testicular torsion (surgical cure code) and acute scrotum (exploratory scrototomy code). The macroregions were grouped in five areas linked to climate characteristics by International Köppen Climate Classification.
A total of 2,351 cases of testicular torsion were registered in the period. For the areas B, C and E (testicular torsion n=2,130) there were statistical differences found in association of testicular torsion cases and decreased temperature (p=0.019, p=0.001 and p=0.006, respectively), however, in analyses for the areas A and D statistical differences were not observed (p=0.066 and p=0.494).
Decrease in temperature was associated with testicular torsion in three macroregions of São Paulo. The findings support the theory of cold weather like a trigger in occurrence of testicular torsion in a tropical climate region.

Guidelines for clinical management of infected patients and prevention of new cases focus on measures to control symptoms, hygiene habits, social distancing, and decrease in human crowding. This forced a change in the way health services provide care, generating the incorporation of new health technologies. The Essay thus aims to compile and analyze experiences in the use of digital health technologies to minimize the impacts of COVID-19. The authors identified the development of technological solutions for clinical management of patients, imaging diagnosis, use of artificial intelligence for risk analysis, geolocation apps, data analysis and reports, self-diagnosis, and even orientation for decision-making. The great majority of the initiatives listed here prove effective in minimizing the impacts of COVID-19 on health systems and aim to decrease human crowding and thus facilitate access to services, besides contributing to the incorporation of new health practices and modes of care. The study aimed to describe the characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 transmission among members of households with a confirmed primary case of COVID-19 in districts with low burden of cases in Lima, Peru, compared to a district with high burden. This was a retrospective study with a secondary database review. Information was collected from an epidemiological surveillance activity in close contacts (household members) in 52 households in Lima, with a single member with COVID-19. Reevaluation was conducted in 10 households. The study evaluated epidemiological and clinical variables and their association with the result of the rapid serological test (presence of IgG, IgM, or both). Secondary cases were found in 40 households, representing mean identification of 49.9% per household. see more Secondary attack rate in household members was 53% (125 cases), and symptomatic individuals accounted for 77.6% of cases (symptomatic/asymptomatic ratio 3.5). Presence of fever and/or chills was found in 40% of persons with positive test results, followed by sore throat with 39.2%. Ageusia and anosmia were present in 22.4% and 20.8% of cases, respectively. When there was a primary case of COVID-19 in the household, the secondary attack rate was 53%; however, in an important proportion of households there were no positive cases other than the primary case. The epidemiological and clinical findings were consistent with reports from other international series. The policy for Productive Development Partnerships emerged in Brazil as a Federal Government strategy to strengthen the Health Economic-Industrial Complex. Although the first partnership dates back to 2009, the regulatory framework was only consolidated in 2014, when eight policy objectives were described. Of these, this article is intended to specifically evaluate the fourth objective "to protect the interests of the Public Administration and society by seeking economic savings and advantage, considering prices, quality, technology, and social benefits". An assessment of the policy results was performed through a mixed methodological approach, by proposing four assessment indicators. The quantative analysis results confirmed a reduction in the purchase price for 37 of the 39 drugs assessed after the policy implementation, while there was an increase in the amounts purchased in 38 of the 39 drugs. On the other hand, the qualitative analysis revealed a lack of planning by public administrators and lack of compliance with the policy guidelines related to the principle of advantageousness. Approximately 40% of the drugs studied did not undergo a health technology assessment by the Brazilian National Commission for the Incorporation of Technologies in the Unified Health System, raising doubts with regards to the advantage for the Public Administration, which is measured by the cost-effectiveness of the drugs incorporated by the policy. The objective of this study was to apply elliptic Fourier analysis (EFA) to find shape differences among skeletal growth patterns in both radiographic and tomographic panoramic views, controlling for asymmetry. Lateral and panoramic images were obtained from 350 patients. After screening patients with asymmetric linear and angular values and natural asymmetric hemimandibular shape, 240 patients were included in the study 48 with tomographic information and 192 with radiographic information. The images were classified according to the mandibular plane angle and the ANB angle. Mandibular contours were digitized on the panoramic images and EFA was performed with 20 harmonics, filtering rotation, translation and size properties. As there were no differences between radiographic and tomographic panoramic mandibular contours and normal distribution was found in all groups, MANOVA was conducted to determine differences using a Hotelling's p-values with Bonferroni correction and an XY graph tool was applied to visualize these differences graphically.
