Recent advances in object tracking based on deep Siamese networks shifted the attention away from correlation filters. However, the Siamese network alone does not have as high accuracy as state-of-the-art correlation filter-based trackers, whereas correlation filter-based trackers alone have a frame update problem. In this paper, we present a Siamese network with spatially semantic correlation features (SNS-CF) for accurate, robust object tracking. To deal with various types of features spread in many regions of the input image frame, the proposed SNS-CF consists of-(1) a Siamese feature extractor, (2) a spatially semantic feature extractor, and (3) an adaptive correlation filter. To the best of authors knowledge, the proposed SNS-CF is the first attempt to fuse the Siamese network and the correlation filter to provide high frame rate, real-time visual tracking with a favorable tracking performance to the state-of-the-art methods in multiple benchmarks. This special issue contains articles that add to the ever-expanding toolbox of insect pathogenic nematodes (entomopathogenic nematodes; EPNs) as well articles that provide new insights into the mutualistic interaction between EPNs and their hosts. The study of natural infection models such as EPNs allows detailed insight into micro- and macro-evolutionary dynamics of innate immune reactions, including known but also emerging branches of innate immunity. Additional new insights into the kinetics of EPN infections are gained by increased spatiotemporal resolution of advanced transcriptome studies and live imaging.Human apurinic/apyrimidinic (AP) endonuclease APE1 hydrolyzes phosphodiester bonds on the 5' side of an AP-site, and some damaged nucleotides such as 1,N6-ethenoadenosine (εA), α-adenosine (αA), and 5,6-dihydrouridine (DHU). To investigate the mechanism behind the broad substrate specificity of APE1, we analyzed pre-steady-state kinetics of conformational changes in DNA and the enzyme during DNA binding and damage recognition. Molecular dynamics simulations of APE1 complexes with one of damaged DNA duplexes containing εA, αA, DHU, or an F-site (a stable analog of an AP-site) revealed the involvement of residues Asn229, Thr233, and Glu236 in the mechanism of DNA lesion recognition. The results suggested that processing of an AP-site proceeds faster in comparison with nucleotide incision repair substrates because eversion of a small abasic site and its insertion into the active site do not include any unfavorable interactions, whereas the insertion of any target nucleotide containing a damaged base into the APE1 active site is sterically hindered. Destabilization of the α-helix containing Thr233 and Glu236 via a loss of the interaction between these residues increased the plasticity of the damaged-nucleotide binding pocket and the ability to accommodate structurally different damaged nucleotides. Nonetheless, the optimal location of εA or αA in the binding pocket does not correspond to the optimal conformation of catalytic amino acid residues, thereby significantly decreasing the cleavage efficacy for these substrates. This study compares the heavy metal exposure levels of the population of abandoned metal mines, with high risks of environmental pollution and health effects. We used data from a two-stage abandoned metal mines survey (AMS, n = 4467). EAPB02303 The Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) and the Korea National Environmental Health Survey (KNEHS) were used as general population data. Based on the sex and age distribution in the AMS, a simple random sampling was performed, so that the two datasets had the same distribution (KNHANES n = 1815, KNEHS n = 2328). Blood lead concentrations were slightly higher in the AMS than in KNEHS. Blood cadmium concentrations were similar between the two groups. However, the difference in urine cadmium concentrations was pronounced and statistically significant. Moreover, 30.6% of the AMS data for urine cadmium concentration exceeded the 95th percentile of the KNEHS data. The concentration of lead and cadmium in the residents of the abandoned metal mines, i.e., the vulnerable regions, was higher than that in the general population. It is necessary to monitor and manage the vulnerable regions via a more active and extensive survey system.Changes to Australian regulations now allow the limited addition of water to high-sugar musts pre-fermentation. In light of these changes, this study explored how water addition affects Shiraz wine composition and sensory properties. Wines were made from grapes at ≈13.5, 14.5 and 15.5° Baume. Water was added to musts from the ripest fruit by direct addition, or by using a juice substitution (run-off and replace) approach. To compare the effect of juice run-off independently, saigneé treatments were included. Wines made from the fruit that was harvested earlier generally had a lower "opacity" and higher "red fruit" aroma as the defining sensory attributes. Undiluted wines made from riper fruit had higher phenolics, and were characterised by "dark fruit" and "dried fruit" attributes, and "spice", a "brown colour" and "opacity". These attributes were accentuated in wines from the same fruit which received saigneé treatments and reduced in all of the water addition treatments. In particular, higher levels of water addition without juice substitution increased the "cooked vegetable" and "drain" attributes in the wines. This indicates possible negative effects of larger water additions, such that a low to moderate adjustment in Shiraz winemaking is suggested.Since the observation precision of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) carrier phase is on the order of millimeters, if the phase ambiguity is correctly solved, while calibrating the receiver inter-frequency bias, time synchronization on the order of tens of picoseconds is expected. In this contribution, a method that considers the prior constraints of the between-receiver inter-frequency bias (IFB) and its random variation characteristics is proposed for the estimation of the between-receiver clock difference, based on the uncombined GNSS carrier phase and pseudorange observations of the zero and short baselines. The proposed method can rapidly achieve the single-difference ambiguity resolution of the zero and short baselines, and then obtain the high-precision relative clock offset, by using only the carrier phase observations, along with the between-receiver IFBs being simultaneously determined. Our numerical tests, carried out using GNSS observations sampled every 30 s by a dedicatedly selected set of zero and short baselines, show that the method can fix the between-receiver single-difference ambiguity successfully within an average of fewer than 2 epochs (interval 30 s).
