The shape of clouds has proven to be essential for classifying them. Our analysis of images from fair weather cumulus clouds reveals that, in addition to turbulence, they are driven by self-organized criticality. Our observations yield exponents that support the fact the clouds, when projected to two dimensions, exhibit conformal symmetry compatible with c=-2 conformal field theory. By using a combination of the Navier-Stokes equation, diffusion equations, and a coupled map lattice, we successfully simulated cloud formation, and obtained the same exponents.The theory developed in our previous papers [Phys. Rev. E 99, 030101(R) (2019)10.1103/PhysRevE.99.030101; Phys. Rev. E 103, 032611 (2021)10.1103/PhysRevE.103.032611] is applied in this paper to investigate the dependence of slowing down of dynamics of glass-forming liquids on the attractive and repulsive parts of intermolecular interactions. Through an extensive comparison of the behavior of a Lennard-Jones glass-forming liquid and that of its WCA reduction to a model with truncated pair potential without attractive tail, we demonstrate why the two systems exhibit very different dynamics despite having nearly identical pair correlation functions. In particular, we show that local structures characterized by the number of mobile and immobile particles around a central particle markedly differ in the two systems at densities and temperatures where their dynamics show large difference and nearly identical where dynamics nearly overlap. We also show how the parameter ψ(T) that measures the role of fluctuations embedded in the system on size of the cooperatively reorganizing cluster (CRC) and the crossover temperature T_a depend on the intermolecular interactions. These parameters stemming from the intermolecular interactions characterize the temperature and density dependence of structural relaxation time τ_α. The quantitative and qualitative agreements found with simulation results for the two systems suggest that our theory brings out the underlying features that determine the dynamics of glass-forming liquids.Background India's government is currently running several programs with a sole focus on women's health during their child-bearing years. However, none of these programs incorporate the management of chronic health conditions during the reproductive span. This issue is an emerging public health concern; therefore, the present study aims to identify the patterns and correlates of multimorbidity among women in reproductive age groups in India. Methods The study utilizes nationally-representative cross-sectional data from the Demographic and Health Survey on 661,811 women in the reproductive age group of 15-49 years. The study uses information on seven chronic morbidities, namely asthma, cancers, heart disease, diabetes, tuberculosis, hypertension, and thyroid disorder. Descriptive, bivariate, and multivariable techniques were utilized to accomplish the study objective. Results The findings show that 17.4 and 3.5 per 100 women of reproductive age suffered from any one morbidity and multimorbidity, respectively. hich would further help in decreasing multimorbidity rates among women in India.
Immune checkpoint inhibitor associated pneumonia (CIP) is a serious side effect of immune checkpoint inhibitors. There is a consensus on the treatment of acute phase of CIP, but the treatment of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis after the acute phase is still a clinical problem to be solved.
The diagnosis and treatment of a non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patient with immune checkpoint inhibitor associated pneumonia in the Stereotactic Radiotherapy Department of Qingdao Central Hospital were retrospectively analyzed, and literatures were reviewed.
A 70-year-old male patient was diagnosed with Poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of left lung with mediastinal lymph node metastasis T3N3M0 stage IIIc, EGFR/ALK/ROS1/RAF negative, PD-L1 (22c3) immunohistochemistry negative. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/imlunestrant.html After the progression of first-line chemotherapy, the patient was diagnosed as immune checkpoint inhibitor associated pneumonia grade 3 during second-line monotherapy with Nivolumab. After initial high-dose glucocorticoid pulse therapy, the lung computed tomography (CT) imaging and clinical symptoms of the patients were partially relieved, and then pirfenidone (300 mg tid) was given orally for more than 11 months. During the treatment of pirfenidone, the CT imaging and clinical symptoms of the patients were significantly improved, and there were no other adverse reactions except grade 1 nausea. During this period, chemotherapy and Anlotinib was given concurrently with pirfenidone and showed good safety profile.
This case report is the first report of pirfenidone in the treatment of CIP, which provides a new idea for the clinical practice and research of CIP treatment.

The previous study has indicated that the incidence of venous thromboembolism (VTE) after thoracic surgery is high. The purpose of this study was to analyze the incidence and risk factors of postoperative VTE in thymic malignancy patients.
This was a single-center study. Patients undergoing resection for thymic malignancy between December 2017 and February 2021 in Department of Thoracic Surgery, Beijing Tongren Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University were enrolled in this study. In addition to the routine examination, all patients were screened for deep venous thrombosis (DVT) by using noninvasive duplex lower extremity ultrasound before and after surgery. Patients did not receive any prophylactic anticoagulant therapy before and after surgery. All patients received modified caprini risk assessment. According to whether VTE occurred after operation, patients were divided into VTE group and control group. The clinical data of the two groups were compared. The occurrence time and possible high risindependent risk factors for VTE after resection for thymic malignancies.
Over 60 years old, operation method and operation time are independent risk factors for VTE. Modified caprini assessment can effectively screen high-risk patients.
