I'll tell you about the tragic love story o f Sid Vicius and Nancy. Sis was the bassist of Sex Pistols, and Nancy, she was a heromaniatic groupie. Involved on a love triangle, sex, drugs and rock& roll. Their story best known for their tragic end.
The night of October 11th, 1978. Sid and Nancy organized a party on their room. The next morning, Sid regained his consciousness in the bed of the room and, when he was going to the bathroom, he found Nancy lying face down on the floor, with her black lace underwear bloodied. She was gashed on her belly. He was arrested and accused from murder, even that he didn't remembered anything of what happened. Other hypothesis point to a settling of account by traffickers who they owed money, that they were on the party that night and also there was money missing. Virgin Records, on a petition by McLaren, paid the 50,000 dollars bail.
It had to happen, Nancy always said she was going to die before 21 years old (1), revealed Sid later to the press. Sid spent several months in Rikers Island prison, were he had terapy to disengange of drugs, and he made it. Shortly after he was setting free because the lack of proof and the case was archived. Nowadays nobody knows what really happened.
On February 2nd, 1979 a party was held at Michelle Robinson's house, Sid's new girlfriend. He, still depressed because of Nancy's death, asked to Momma Vicious to inject him heroin. She thought it was going to help him to cure his pain and she did it. The next morning, Sid was dead, at 21 years old. (His mom died on 1996, because of an overdose)
Days after he was cremated, Anne found a goodbye note in the pocket of his son's jacket: "We made a death pact, I have to make my part of the pact. Please, bury me next to my babe. Bury me with my leather jacket, jeans and motocycler boots. Goodbye. Love, Sid"
