PRAME and adipophilin are comparable in terms of distribution and intensity for staining sebocytes. The extant methods for generating functional astrocytes required long culture periods and there remained much ambiguity on whether such paradigms follow the innate developmental program. In this report, we provided an efficient and rapid method for generating physiologically functional astrocytes from hPSCs. Overexpressing the nuclear factor IB in hPSC-derived neural precursor cells induced a highly enriched astrocyte population in 2 weeks. RNA sequencing and functional analyses demonstrated progressive transcriptomic and physiological changes in the cells, resembling in vivo astrocyte development. Further analyses substantiated previous results and established the MAPK pathway necessary for astrocyte differentiation. Hence, this differentiation paradigm provides a prospective in vitro model for human astrogliogenesis studies and the pathophysiology of neurological diseases concerning astrocytes.
Nursing organizations play an important role in fulfilling the professional demands of nurses. The Iranian Nursing Organization (INO) is also using diplomatic activities in this direction.
This study was conducted to explain the diplomatic activities of INO.
A descriptive qualitative study was conducted using conventional content analysis. A purposive sampling approach was used. Data were collected via in-depth, unstructured, face-to-face interviews with 21 nurses at various INOs in different cities from March to July 2020. The data collection process continued until data saturation. Interviews were analyzed using Graneheim and Lundman's (2004) guidelines. The MAXQDA software (v. 10) was used.
The results showed that the diplomatic activities of INO comprise professional (three categories), social (two categories), and diplomacy in power network (two categories).
INO carries out diplomatic activities at organizational, national and international levels and pursues its professional nursing goals through diplomacy. INO also uses social diplomacy and political diplomacy to influence decision-makers in the community and network of power.

Thirty patients with drug-resistant focal epilepsy underwent intracranial electroencephalography and concurrent brain microdialysis for up to 8 continuous days. Extracellular brain glutamate, glutamine, and the branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) valine, leucine, and isoleucine were quantified in the dialysis samples by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. Extracellular BCAAs and glutamate were chronically elevated at baseline by approximately 1.5-3-fold in brain regions of seizure onset and propagation versus regions not involved by seizures. Moreover, isoleucine increased significantly above baseline as early as 3 h before a spontaneous seizure. BCAAs play important roles in glutamatergic neurotransmission, mitochondrial function, neurodegeneration, and mammalian target of rapamycin signaling. Because all of these processes have been implicated in epilepsy, the results suggest a novel role of BCAAs in the pathogenesis of spontaneous seizures.
This study tests the validity and reliability of the Ideal Grandparent Scale(IGS; Mansson, 2015) on university students.
The Turkish version of the IGS was administered to 247 students at a university in Turkey to determine its validity and reliability. The students' mean age was 21.19 years (standard deviation = 1.69), with a range of 18-25 years.
The results showed a single factored construct with factor loads ranging from 0.748 to 0.917 and explaining 71.67% of the variance. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.96 indicated that the internal consistency of the scale items was high.
The Turkish version of the IGS is valid and reliable for use in potential studies to be conducted in Turkey.

This study aimed to determine the prevalence of bullying and identify the perpetrators of bullying among nursing students. Further, the impact of bullying on their mental health and academic achievement was also examined.
A cross-sectional correlational design was adopted. Caspase inhibitor A total of 180 undergraduate nursing students completed an electronic questionnaire.
Approximately half of the participants had experienced at least one or more bullying behaviors on a daily or weekly basis during nursing education. Classmates were the most frequently reported perpetrators of bullying behaviors. Bullying experience was associated with poor psychological health and perceived stress. A lower grade point average emerged as a significant predictor of exposure to bullying behaviors.
There is a need to create policies that delineate the legal implications of bullying to protect students. Faculty members and clinical service providers should work together to reduce the prevalence and impact of negative acts against students.
