The incidence of male infertility is increasing year by year, but there is a lack of non-invasive accurate diagnostic indicators for this disease, and the pathogenesis of idiopathic infertility is not yet fully clarified. Recent studies have found that there are various small non-coding RNAs (sncRNA) in the human seminal plasma and spermatic exosomes, which can be used as a novel non-invasive biomarker of male infertility. This review outlines the latest research updates on the relationship between sncRNAs in the seminal plasma and male infertility, aiming to provide some new ideas for the screening of the molecular markers of male infertility and study of its underlying molecular mechanisms.Previous studies have found that penile erection is not only dependent on the peripheral nervous and vascular systems, but also controlled by the central nervous system. Some brain regions are responsible for promoting and suppressing penile erection, respectively. Studies on the brain functions showed both activation and inactivation of the brain regions when receiving sexual stimulation, and those on the brain structure of ED patients revealed atrophy of the gray matter structure and abnormal connection of the white matter fibers. In addition, abnormal connections within emotional, cognitive and default and salience networks were found in patients with psychogenic ED. This article reviews the brain MRI-based studies on the central neurophysiological mechanisms of penile erection, aiming to gain a deeper insight into human neurophysiological mechanisms of the neural circuits controlling erectile function. With the development of Wi-Fi technology and widespread exposure to electromagnetic radiation (EMR), people are increasingly concerned about the health hazards caused by radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as from cellphones and Wi-Fi, particularly about the current decline in sperm concentration and increase in male infertility. Long-term exposure to EMR not only damages male reproductive organs, but also affects the number, morphology, motility and oocyte-binding ability of sperm, and indirectly increases the risk of infertility. However, EMR is not unavoidable. Low-intensity short-term or intermittent exposure to EMR has little adverse effect on reproductive organs and sperm. And many antioxidant and anti-free radical agents, such as vitamin E and melatonin, can protect some special populations from EMR. This review presents an overview of the impacts of EMR from cellphones and Wi-Fi on sperm, some countermeasures, and prospects of EMR protection. Objective To comprehensively evaluate the clinical effect, safety and cost of Qianlieshutong Capsules (QC) in the treatment of chronic prostatitis. METHODS We searched Cochrane Library, PubMed, Springer, ProQuest, CNKI, Wanfang Data and VIP for randomized controlled trials (RCT) on the treatment of chorionic prostatitis with QC published from January 2000 to May 2018. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, two researchers independently completed the screening and evaluation of the articles, extraction of information, and meta-analysis of the included RCTs using the RevMan 5.3 software. RESULTS Totally 10 RCTs involving 1 796 cases were included in this study, in which the chronic prostatitis patients treated by the combination of QC and quinolones all showed a significantly better response than the controls (P less then 0.05). QC combined with quinolones cost an average of ¥23 more than quinolones alone with a 1% increase of therapeutic effectiveness, ¥38.39 more with a 1-unit reduction of WBCs, and ¥38.84 more with a 1-point decrease in the NIH-CPSI score. CONCLUSIONS The combination of QC with quinolones has a better therapeutic efficacy but a higher cost than quinolones alone in the treatment of chronic prostatitis. Objective To investigate the prevalence of ED in adult men with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). read more METHODS We searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMbase, WanFang Database, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) Database for original articles relating the prevalence of ED among male IBD patients in the past 20 years, and performed meta-analysis on the identified studies. RESULTS A total of 9 eligible studies involving 734 cases of IBD were included, of which the pooled prevalence of ED was 34.4% (95% CI 30.8-38.1). Subgroup analyses showed that the incidence rate of ED was significantly higher in the patients with Crohn's disease than in those with ulcerative colitis (36.3% [95% CI 30.1-42.9] vs 26.8% [95% CI 21.9-32.3], P less then 0.05), and in those with active than in those with remissive IBD (47.6% [95% CI 38.3-57.2] vs 26.4% [95% CI 22.0-31.4], P less then 0.05). The prevalence of ED was the lowest in the patients with ulcerative colitis after treated by ileal pouch-anal anastomosis (17.2% [95% CI 11.5-24.9]). CONCLUSIONS IBD is commonly associated with ED in male patients, and the risk of ED is increased in active IBD and decreased in remissive IBD.Objective To explore the role of comprehensive nursing intervention in improving medication compliance of prostate cancer patients undergoing endocrine therapy. METHODS We practiced comprehensive nursing intervention in 43 prostate cancer patients undergoing endocrine therapy in our hospital from January 2016 to December 2018. Using the 8-item Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8), we investigated the medication compliance of the patients at 1, 3 and 6 months after treatment. RESULTS The MMAS-8 score of the patients was 7.8 ± 1.1 at 1 month after medication, decreased to 6.2 ± 1.9 at 3 months (P less then 0.05), and increased to 7.9 ± 1.2 at 6 months (P less then 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Comprehensive nursing intervention can improve the medication compliance of prostate cancer patients undergoing endocrine therapy and the outcomes of treatment as well. Objective To analyze the association of stored autologous blood transfusion (SABT) with tumor recurrence in PCa patients after radical prostatectomy and explore the application of SABT in this surgical procedure. METHODS Forty-five PCa patients underwent radical prostatectomy in our hospital in recent five years, of whom, 20 received SABT (group A) and the other 25 allogeneic blood transfusion (group B) intraoperatively. After surgery, we followed up the patients regularly for 3-66 months by examination of the levels of total PSA (tPSA) and free PSA (fPSA), digital rectal examination (DRE), and MRI to observe the biochemical recurrence of the tumor. We compared the data obtained between the two groups of patients. RESULTS In group A, 8 cases were in stages T1a-T1b and 12 in stages T2a-T2c, and in group B, 14 cases were in stages T1a-T1b and 11 in stages T2a-T2c. The volume of transfused blood was 800 ml in group A and 400-1 200 ml in group B. No statistically significant differences were observed between the two groups in the operation time, intraoperative blood loss or postoperative Gleason scores (P > 0.
