However, there are important issues to consider such as the fact that most ORs do not use an algorithm or guideline for protective practices and that almost half of ORNs had not received training on protection against COVID-19.
The level of knowledge of ORNs on protective measures against COVID-19 was quite high. 6-Benzylaminopurine cost However, there are important issues to consider such as the fact that most ORs do not use an algorithm or guideline for protective practices and that almost half of ORNs had not received training on protection against COVID-19.
The benefits of helplines are particularly valuable during a pandemic when face-to-face services and natural supports are difficult to access. Kids Helpline, Australia's national youth helpline, provides children and young people with free 24/7 information and counseling through telephone, WebChat, and e-mail. We aimed to examine the use of Kids Helpline during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We analyzed monthly and weekly time trends of demand for and response by the Kids Helpline. The frequency of counseling contacts by common concern types, age, and gender were also examined. We used Joinpoint regression.
Analyses of weekly demand for Kids Helpline showed an increase when the pandemic was declared, followed by a gradual decline. A second rise from 12 July 2020 when parts of Australia experienced a second wave of infections, followed by another decline, occurred more recently. Increased demand was almost entirely in the WebChat modality. Most answered counseling contacts were from girls and those aged 13-18years. The number of contacts about mental health, suicide/self-harm, and family relationships increased, with mental health contacts also increasing as a proportion of total contacts. COVID-19-related concerns were the most common reason for contact in April2020.
In Australia, the COVID-19 pandemic saw a rapid increase in demand for Kids Helpline, mainly by WebChat, with the virus itself, mental health, suicide/self-harm, and relationships common reasons for contact. Responding to rapid changes in demand for particular modalities is challenging and understanding of the use and effectiveness of different modalities is needed.

Adolescents are at risk for violating COVID-19 social distancing measures owing to salient developmental needs for autonomy and relatedness. This intensive longitudinal study investigated the initiation and sustainment of adolescents' daily social distancing behaviors.
Focus group and daily-diary approaches were used to collect 6,216 assessments from a nationwide American adolescent sample (n= 444; M
= 15.1; 40% male; 42% black/African American, 40% white/European American, 10% Latinx, 6% Asian American, 2% Native American) over the course of 14days at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
When adolescents were motivated by preventing others from getting sick, they were more likely to engage in social distancing (same day B= .50, SE= .09, 95% confidence interval [CI] [.32, .68] p < .001; next day B= .49, SE= .09, 95% CI [.31, .67] p < .001). Daily social support from friends (same day B= .04, SE= .02, 95% CI [.01, .08] p < .05; next day B= .08, SE= .02, 95% CI [.05, .12] p < .001), connectednport, and remained virtually connected with friends were more likely to engage in daily social distancing at the onset of the pandemic.
This study aimed to evaluate changes in rugby union physical match characteristics across five seasons of International female competition, according to position and opposition quality.
Global positional systems and performance analysis data from 78 female rugby union players (minimum of five international appearances) were analysed between 2015 and 2019. Mixed-linear-modelling was used to investigate the effects of season, opposition and position during 969 individual match performances from 53 International matches.
Running demands increased between 2015 and 2017 (World Cup year) and plateaued thereafter, except for sprints among the outside backs, which declined between 2017 and 2019, and accelerations and decelerations >3 m s
which increased between 2017 and 2019. Collisions were higher in forwards than backs, and highest against stronger opposition. Running demands were greater against weaker opposition, but the 'most intense periods' of running were greater against stronger opposition in 2017ed continuous playing style of female rugby, thus placing specific demands on players and requiring tailored training methods. Some positions (Forwards and Scrum-halves) appear to be important for this adopted style, demonstrating concomitantly high relative collision and running intensities.
Recommendations are available for assessment criteria for safe return-to-play (RTP) after a lateral ankle sprain. However, their current use among physicians is unknown.
French-speaking physicians in Belgium, France and Switzerland were asked to complete an online survey and report their clinical assessment of selected RTP criteria.
The respondent sample (n=109) included physicians with and without Sports Medicine education, varied level of experience and proportion of athletes in their practice population. Pain was the most selected criterion for safe RTP (90% of physicians), followed by ability to engage in functional tasks (82%), functional instability (73%), range of motion (61%), proprioception (47%), mechanical instability (39%), strength (38%) and swelling (31%). A low proportion of physicians use quantitative measures to assess these criteria (between 4% and 53%).
A large proportion of physicians consider the recommended criteria for RTP decisions. However, physicians do not frequently use quantitative measures.
