What's The Reason Everyone Is Talking About Top Robot Vacuum Right Now
Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos

While robots can't replace a conventional vacuum for picking up ground-in debris like metal screws or chunks of orzo pasta, they're great in sweeping dust, crumbs and pet hair. The most effective models come with intelligent navigation technology and a feature to avoid objects that allow them to maneuver around cords, toys and other obstacles in the household.

1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ is an excellent robot vacuum that comes with several smart features that make it easier to maintain. Its automatic bin emptying is one of the most convenient features we've encountered in the form of a robot, and it works well with both hard floors and carpets. The app guides you through the entire process. It is also easy to use and set up. Another feature that is impressive is the ability to go back to where it left off in our tests--it did this for 77 minutes on one cleaning, before running out of battery.

Unlike some of the other robovacs we test, the i3+ EVO has self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging when it's full. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling with a self-emptying bin. However, it must still be manually empty at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L, which is enough to last through four to five cleaning sessions.

This model, like the i7, utilizes state-of-the-art floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It can also allow you to navigate through neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores one map, while the i7 can store multiple. The i7 also has the ability to make use of its map to create no-go zones and virtual barriers, however the i3+ EVO can't.

While the i3+ EVO is superior in picking up surface debris than some of the other robovacs we looked at but it's not the best for cleaning edges and corners. It is also less gentle on furniture, despite being remarkably quiet. It was quite rough on furniture as it forced chairs away. It also caused collisions with the sides of the test bed.

2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro

Whether you're expanding your collection of robot vacuums, or just beginning your journey with the Q5 Pro is a great option. It offers an elegant design, powerful navigation, and effective automation at a reasonable price. It's the best pound-for-pound model available today and even beats some of Roborock's more expensive models in several ways.

This robot is fantastic at cleaning floors that are dirty, and its avoidance tech helps it steer clear of furniture legs or other obstacles. It also does well on carpets and scores a high score in our navigation tests. The only drawback is that it's louder than other models we test and doesn't perform similarly in our user satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.

robot floor cleaner has a very large 770ml dust bin that means you don't have to empty it as often as some other 2-in-1 robots. Its 240-minute runtime is also extremely generous when compared to other models we've tested. If the battery is depleted it goes back to its dock and automatically recharges before resuming cleaning where it stopped. You can control the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

This is the first robot we've seen that has 3D mapping. This, in conjunction with other innovations, makes it perform exceptionally well during our mopping and vacuuming tests. It allows you to plan cleaning schedules, create no-go zones and see the battery's condition among other things. The app is simple to use, but it does not support Apple HomeKit and that feature is expected to be available in 2025. Apple changed its footnote on its website in the beginning of November to reflect that this feature has been delayed until 2025. Several other robots don't work with HomeKit However, many of them are compatible with Siri Shortcuts.

3. TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus

It can be controlled using the buttons on the device through the app or even with voice commands. The device has an extended battery life and the vacuum container is automatically empty.

The TP-Link RV30 Plus can be quickly set up and connected to a variety of flooring surfaces using the automatic mode. This ensures that the optimal results are achieved in each room and type of flooring.

You can alter the map using the app and merge or split rooms according to your preferences. You can also build virtual walls and no-go zones to prevent the RV30 Plus from straying into areas you don't wish to visit.

4. Eufy iMop

The Eufy iMop is one of the best full-featured robot vacuum and mop combos for hard floors. It has a high-tech navigation system that does an excellent job of mapping your home, even across multiple floor levels. And the extremely well-designed base station virtually automates the cleaning process. It also provides impressive obstacles-avoiding and navigation.

The model is equipped with an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map out your home and create efficient cleaning routes. The iMop excelled in our analysis of coverage and navigation efficiency and was good at getting around obstacles, such as furniture. It also finds its way to the base station if it is unable to recharge its batteries during an exercise of cleaning.

The spot cleaning mode lets you to clean a certain space on your floor. And it can be manually programmed to follow a fixed path, which is useful for narrow staircases or hallways. It did a good job of cleaning carpets during our carpet cleaning test however it had a difficult time with longer pile carpets and rugs. It can also be set to automatically raise the mop pad once it comes into contact with carpet, which is a fantastic feature to avoid mopping your carpets.

The iMop has an onboard dust container and an water tank that is filled and refilled at the end of each cleaning session. The dust bin can hold up to 2.5 Liters and only has to be empty every two cleaning cycles. The water tank can handle more than a dozen mopping sessions before it is empty. The iMop is more easy to maintain and clean than the typical robot cleaner, which can be an important selling point for busy households.

The iMop smartphone app is easy-to-use and comes with a variety of configuration options. It comes with different suction settings, mopping settings and scheduling. It also lets you build virtual walls and no-go zones, to ensure that the robot doesn't wander into rooms that aren't allowed. Additionally, the app lets you view your iMop's status and warnings about errors.
