1. Conception:
Bhagwaan was conceived and he came in the womb of Queen Trishla
Queen Trishla had 14/16 dreams. (Know the meanings of the dreams as discuss in class)
He was born with Mati Gnan, Shrut Gnan and Avadhi Gnan. (We have mati gnan and shrut gnan).
He used Avadhi gnan to see that his mother has pain when he turns in the womb. So he stopped movement. Mother got worried. So, he would thereafter move very gently. He took a vow that he will not do anything that will hurt his parents.

2. Birth:
Born in 527 BC
Mother; Queen Trishla
Father: King Siddharth
Elder Brother: Nandivardhan
Place: Kundalpur, comes in Bihar as per todays map of India
Birth Name: Vardhaman (because everything was increasing in the kingdom, prosperity, happiness etc)
Heavenly beings took him to heaven and Lord Indra and other heavenly beings gave him a birth shower
Everyone celebrated his birth

3. Childhood:
He went to school.
He gently picked up a snake when playing with his friends and put it on the side.
He did not get scared of the demi god that took a form of a monster. Because of these reasons of his bravery, he was named Mahavir.
He respected his teachers

4. Diksha:
Prior to taking Diksha, he gave charity for 1 year. That is symbolic of non-attachment.
When he took Diksha, he renounced his kingdom and everything else, with a goal to attain Keval Gnan.
Renounciation is non-possession, giving up all personal belongings and associations. He left his family - like brother and others.
He became a monk
He took Diksha at age of 30 years. His parents died when he was 28 years.

5. After Diksha
He did a lot of meditation and penance.
He slept for less than 50 minutes in 12 years.
Read and learn the moral of story or Chandkaushik, Chandanbala, cow-heard (trying to whip him), cow-heard who put nail(wooden-plugs) in his ears.
He gets Mana-Paryay Gnan

6. Keval Gnan
In Keval Gnan, he get knowledge of everything and everyone - past, present and future.
Only pure souls get this knowledge. Me and you are not pure. We may not use this knowledge wisely. We may misuse it. So, if you want to increase your knowledge, you have to start becoming pure in thoughts, words and actions. Respect knowledge, books, teachers.
He has destroyed all his inner enemies (forgot to write this on board today) - Anger, Ego, Greed, Deceit (AGED).

7. After Attaining Keval Gnan he becomes Tirthankar. A Tirthankar is also Arihant.
He establishes four fold religion of Sadhu, Sadhvi, Shravak and Shravika
He gives discourses and sermons in the Samosaran (auditorium). Animals, Heavenly being, Sadhus, Sadhvis, Shravaks and Shravikas attend the Samosaran. Everyone understands and hears his sermon in the language they understand. Cats will understand, Lion will understand, humans will understand etc.
He is a Tirthankar for 30 years.

8. Moksh.
He gets liberated.
Breaks cycle of birth and death (rebirth).
He becomes Siddha.
