Using a meta-analytic approach, we evaluate the association between socioeconomic status (SES) and children's experiences measured with the Language Environment Analysis (LENA) system. Our final analysis included 22 independent samples, representing data from 1583 children. A model controlling for LENATM measures, age and publication type revealed an effect size of rz= .186, indicating a small effect of SES on children's language experiences. The type of LENA metric measured emerged as a significant moderator, indicating stronger effects for adult word counts than child vocalization counts. These results provide important evidence for the strength of association between SES and children's everyday language experiences as measured with an unobtrusive recording analyzed automatically in a standardized fashion.Examining the composition of breakfast concerning weight status is essential for evaluating adolescent health and understanding this gap. This study aimed to identify breakfast patterns and investigate the relationship with weight status among Brazilian adolescents. We used a subsample of 7425 adolescents aged 10-19 years from the 2008-2009 Brazilian Household Budget Survey. Breakfast eaters were those with intake of at least 50 kcal (209·2 kJ) between 05.00 and 10.00 hours. Breakfast dietary patterns were derived by principal component factor analysis with varimax rotation. We performed logistic regression analyses between breakfast patterns and weight status, considering the complexity of the survey sample design. Three breakfast patterns were identified explaining 44·8 % of data variability (1) the Cereal, protein, fruit beverages and Northern/Northeastern pattern, characterised by high consumption of cookies, meats, dairy products, preparations with maize, eggs, fruit juices/fruit drinks/soya-based drinks, tubers/roots/potatoes and cereals, and negative adherence to cold cut meat and savoury snacks/crackers; (2) the Protein-based pattern, characterised by positive loadings for cold cut meat, milk and cheese, and negative for cookies, fruit juices/fruit drinks/soya-based drinks, tubers/roots/potatoes and cereals; and (3) the Mixed pattern, with positive loadings for cakes, coffee/tea, bread, fruit juices/fruit drinks/soya-based drinks, chocolate/desserts and savoury snacks/crackers. No association was found between skipping and weight status. Overweight adolescents had lower adherence to the Cereal, protein, fruit beverages and Northern/Northeastern pattern (OR = 0·67; 95 % CI 0·47, 0·96). This is the first study to address dietary patterns at the meal level with adolescent population-based data, which requires further investigation.Embedding nurses in their jobs is associated with many positive results because they have to deal with varying patient needs and sometimes make close relationships with them. Having mentioned that, we have limited knowledge of antecedents and possible outcomes of job embeddedness. Accordingly, this study aimed to explore the mediating role of job embeddedness (JE) among this group in the relationship between Team-Member Exchange (TMX), Empowering Leadership (EL), and Perceived Organizational Support (POS) with Innovative Work Behavior (IWB). Data were gathered from a group of 800 nurses, who were working in fourteen different public hospitals in the northeast of Iran. Of 800 distributed questionnaires, 723 questionnaires were completely filled. Different statistical analysis methods, such as Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), Pearson correlation coefficient, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), were used for data analysis. The results indicate the positive influence of TMX and POS on IWB through the mediating role of JE in this group. It is worth noting that the JE-mediated effect of EL on IWB was not significant.Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a disease resulting from mutation in the globin portion of hemoglobin caused by the replacement of adenine for thymine in the codon of the β globin gene. The use of computational techniques can accelerate the drug development process by prioritization of molecules with affinity against essential targets. Adenosine A2b receptor (rA2b) has been studied in SCD due to its relationship with red blood cells concentration of 2,3-diphosphoglycerate which reduces the hemoglobin affinity for oxygen (O2), facilitating its availability for the tissues. In this scenario, this study aims to build a suitable 3D model of rA2b by SWISS MODEL and to evaluate the structural aspects of rA2b with known antagonists that may be useful for the identification of new potential antagonists by molecular dynamics on a lipid bilayer environment using GROMACS 5.1.4. Sarma.We report here a drug-drug interaction with tacrolimus in a HIV-positive patient with renal transplant, after switch from highly active antiretroviral therapy with boosted protease inhibitors to the combination bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide. Although the tacrolimus doses were adapted to take account of the pharmacokinetic interactions with protease inhibitors, a tacrolimus overdosage occurred in the patient nonetheless. Through this case report, we highlight the need to consider a sufficient timeframe of withdrawal of protease inhibitors, which induce a prolonged drug-drug interaction with tacrolimus. To conclude, we purport that the combination bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide could be an attractive alternative in the context of transplantation provided a discontinuation of boosted protease inhibitors for more than 48 hours before introducing tacrolimus.
