Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
If you're looking to clean up messes quickly, a robot vacuum cleaner and mop is the way to go. The best robot vacuums and mops that I tested had excellent navigation and mapping. They picked up Cheerios and fake dog turds, well as wires that were tangled.
You can also schedule cleaning tasks with an app and monitor their progress.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
If you're looking for the top robot vacuum and mop with bleeding-edge features, take a look at the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This high-end vacuum is fast and agile and picked up pet hair and human dander almost flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also features a sleek app interface with a mini map of your home and some on-screen buttons for manual control.
Another standout feature is the S8's ability to adjust its cleaning mode based on dirt levels, thanks to its Dirt Detection technology. It will stop and wash its mopping pad more frequently when it comes across dust, while prioritizing carpeted areas for mopping with a damp pad.
It comes with a range of other features that are smart too, including an alternative dock that connects to your home plumbing to clean and wash the mop without requiring you to manually refill it. You can also use voice commands with the S8's built-in voice assistant, saying "Hey Rocky" to specify room cleaning, modes, and granular controls with your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
If you're looking to buy a hands-free robot vacuum that has mopping capabilities, the Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile choices. It's one of many combo robot vacuums with mops that are also offered at a lower price than competitors.
Like most robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little bit of work to get started, including setting up an account with the app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once that's done, though the robot is able to begin mopping and vacuuming with ease.
It is important to note that the mapping process takes some time and it could take a few tries before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate view of your space. The object detection feature is not perfect. It was able skirt around furniture and other obstacles, but it was stuck on a looser rug with tassels, and required a flip to free itself. However, these aren't major issues, and the Yeedi Cube is still a excellent choice for those looking for an all-in-one solution for cleaning.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete provides a three-in-one cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features a rotating motion similar to hand scrubbing which results in floors that are genuinely cleaned and not just swept. The detachable vacuum stick is a game changer that can reach areas where robot vacuums cannot.
This model is basically the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa and other intelligent features. The upgraded RGBD sensor is able to learn your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. And the smart app lets you modify a variety of settings that include scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping and has both the robot vacuum and mop returning to their charging station after each task to clean their pads, empty their dust bins, and put the waste in bags that self-seal. This helps to keep the system tidy and stops allergens from circulating. The battery life is long enough to handle large spaces without the need for a recharge during cleaning.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the more premium robot vacuum and mop models that we have reviewed, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the price. It has a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotary floor brush for carpets, and an excellent obstacle avoidance. It also has a unique mopping method that uses a roller constantly misting with water to capture dirt and then deposit it in the water tank.
Its navigation system was efficient. It avoided the stairs and was able to navigate close to walls without falling. However, it did struggle with fine-grained debris and didn't always get rid of raised thresholds for rooms. Its operating noise level is also high, and it could be a less reliable set-and-forget model than others.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, has a docking technology that allows it to refill its clean water tank, empty the dustbin as well as wash and dry the mop, as well as empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easier and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in line with an established schedule. You can control all its functions using the Eufy app, which gives a clear overview and plenty of options for configuration.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is among the top mowers and vacuums available that are available. It delivers amazing results when it comes to mopping and vacuuming. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can detect furniture legs and other obstacles with decent precision, and the app allows users to fine-tune map coverage, set no-go zones, and modify cleaning preferences. The main roller brush is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which could be a major issue with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM and exert up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system is equipped with intelligent carpet detectors, which lift these pads up when they are close to soft surfaces in order to keep them from getting contaminated.
The docking station is an automated maintenance center that is able to wash and dry the mops and refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station also has integrated dust processing that compacts dust for 7 weeks of hassle-free operation unlike traditional robot vacuums that empty their dust bins each time they need to be emptied.
6. S10
This robot is a few hundred dollars less than the S8 and does a great job of keeping my home office tidy. It also has the ability to reach all corners of my small apartment. It uses a laser mapping and camera to create a 3D map of your home so that it knows what to stay clear of. It also has a detector for objects and obstructions that will stay clear of things like toys and dog bowls (but not poop), unlike many vacuums.
It also has some outstanding standout features, including the self-emptying dust bin and a mop pad that's self-washing and adjustable to the temperature of the water and a side-reaching brush that can reach places that other mops can't reach. You can also alter the settings for each room and create cleaning schedules.
Similar to the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping, and can differentiate between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood flooring with high-pile rugs. And, if you're looking to save time, it can even skip mopping in rooms that aren't dirty. If you have several types of flooring in your home and don't want to spend more money on a Roborock that comes with advanced mapping features this is a great choice.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a flexible robot vacuum and mop that is able to handle both regular daily maintenance and touch-ups on wet messes, this robot is an excellent option. It has a range of features that include a self-emptying dustbin, a separate dock for refilling water, as well as adjustable settings through the app. It's quite quiet, and it can navigate around furniture legs and socks with ease. However, it isn't able to take care of knotted rug tassels and it's battery drains slightly faster than other models we tested in our tests.
With a price tag of less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly powerhouse that packs serious suction and handy automation into a sleek. It didn't score quite as well in our mopping and mopping tests as the much pricier Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, but it still performed very well overall. It has a variety of cleaning modes, ranging from the quiet mode with low power which is suitable for small debris to the incredibly powerful Turbo mode for carpeted areas. It also has the capability to automatically remove and reattach mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum that can be used even in small areas. It is very silent and fast, and it can navigate tight spaces well. It also does a very nice job of getting pet hair out of carpeting.
It's smaller than its rivals however, it doesn't compromise any features. robot cleaner has good suction power and can be set to take pictures of each object it chooses (i.e. chew toys socks, chew toys) and mark them in the app as "not found' to ensure that they won't be taken up in subsequent cleanings. The photos are secure, and aren't tied to your account.
It does a great job of vaccuming, however it isn't as effective at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bottom of the bot and it essentially drags them around your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal, which have water reservoirs and automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
