Vulvodynia is a disabling condition in which pelvic floor muscles' (PFM) hypertonicity plays an important role.

To evaluate biometric changes in PFM in women with vulvodynia undergoing kinesiotherapy treatment protocol (KTP).

A single-blinded randomized controlled trial of 57 women with vulvodynia randomly assigned to either KTP+amitriptyline or amitriptyline alone (controls) for treatment. Four-dimensional translabial ultrasound assessed PFM regarding symphysis-levator distance at rest, anorectal angle at rest, excursion of the levator plate angle, and levator hiatal narrowing. Volunteers underwent a vaginal examination for a cotton swab test (CST), fulfillment of Friedrich criteria score and PFM power of contraction, and completed a diary of sexual pain and frequency of vaginal intercourse. Outcomes were assessed at baseline and after 8weeks of treatment.

Primary outcomes were differences in biometric parameters assessed by four-dimensional translabial ultrasound after treatment, between groups. The association between the intensity of obstructive sleep apnea and skeletal alterations in the face and hyoid bone is still scarcely addressed in the literature.

To evaluate whether the intensity of obstructive sleep apnea is associated with craniofacial alterations and the position of the hyoid bone in children with mixed dentition.

76 children aged 7-10 years old were examined by otorhinolaryngological evaluation, polysomnography, and orthodontic assessment, including cephalometry. The participants were divided in 3 groups primary snoring, mild obstructive sleep apnea and moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea. Cephalometric measures of the face and hyoid bone were assessed. These measures were compared among the different groups by unpaired Student's t test. Moreover, these measures were correlated with the patient's obstructive apnea and hypopnea index variable using Pearson's correlation test.

Of the 76 children, 14 belonged to group 1, with primary snoring; 46 to group 2, with mild obstrucr lateral alterations of the face. In contrast, there is a direct association between obstructive sleep apnea severity and the inferior and posterior position of the hyoid bone in children aged 7-10 years old.

In Italy 13,500 new cases of pancreatic cancer occurred in 2019. It is estimated that at least 5% have a hereditary background. Surveillance is advisable for healthy individuals with specific genetic syndromes with or without family history of pancreatic cancer or members of families with multiple cases of pancreatic cancer, irrespective of genetic syndromes. In 2010 the Italian Association for the Study of the Pancreas (AISP) defined criteria to include individuals in such surveillance programs with the first-round results published in 2019. In order to include other categories at high-risk and increase the diagnostic yield of surveillance, these criteria have recently been modified. The present position paper presents the updated criteria of the Italian Registry of Families at Risk of Pancreatic Cancer (IRFARPC) with their diagnostic yield calculation. Also, AISP priority projects concerning (a) increasing awareness of citizens and primary care physicians through a dedicated App; (b) increasing access to germline testing to personalize surveillance; (c) measuring psychological impact of surveillance; (d) investigating the role of risk-modifiers and (e) evaluating the cost-effectiveness and ability to save lives of the program are briefly presented.
The Brazilian population has a tri-hybrid composition with a high degree of ethnic admixture. We hypothesized that Brazilian individuals with CF from different Brazilian regions have a specific distribution of CFTR variants.

Individuals with CF with data available in the Patient Registry and without an established genotype were submitted to CFTR sequencing by Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) methodology, and results were anonymously incorporated to the Registry Database. To assist radiation oncology centers in implementing Lutetium-177-dotatate (
Lu) radiopharmaceutical therapy for midgut neuroendocrine tumors. Here we describe our workflow and how it was revised based on our initial experience on an expanded access protocol (EAP).

A treatment team/area was identified. An IV-pump-based infusion technique was implemented. Exposure-based techniques were implemented to determine completion of administration, administered activity, and patient releasability. Acute toxicities were assessed at each fraction. A workflow failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) was performed.

A total of 22 patients were treated 11 patients during EAP (36 administrations) and 11 patients after EAP (44 administrations). Mean
Lu infusion time was 37min (range 26-65min). Mean administered activity was 97% (range 90-99%). Mean patient exposures at 1 m were 1.9mR/h (range 1.0-4.1mR/h) post-
Lu and 0.9mR/h (range 0.4-1.8mR/h) at discharge, rendering patients releasable with instructions. Treatment area was decontaminated and released same day.
