8 Tips To Increase Your Drip Coffee Machine Game
The Best Drip Coffee Machines

Drip coffee makers can be powerful machines that allow for hands-free coffee making. However, they can be big and bulky, taking up valuable counter space or a spot under cabinets.

The top drip machines are sleek and simple to use. Some drip machines come with additional features like programmable clocks or self-cleaning modes to make your morning coffee more personalized.

1. De'Longhi TrueBrew

The De'Longhi TrueBrew is an all-in-one shop for coffee. It can be made from whole beans to a large carafe by pressing a few buttons. It comes with a built-in grinder (taken directly from De'Longhi's espresso machines) that measures the right amount of coffee grounds and compacts them prior to making coffee, eliminating the need for plastic filters and pods.

It also comes with a variety of settings to suit the size of your cup or design, from 3oz espresso drinks up to 16oz of iced coffee, and 40oz for the standard carafe. It dispenses the coffee into a variety of vessel, ranging from large mugs to the tiny espresso cups, or even tall travel mugs that wouldn't typically fit under drip machines. It can even make tea!

Bean Extract Technology is a word that manufacturers love to employ. It "adapts and grinds" beans according to your selection. However, it's really nothing more than marketing. The most important thing is that it's a breeze to use, fairly fast and doesn't make much of a mess when brewing. It's not able to brew either a short shot or a lengthy shot of espresso, and it does not include steam wand. If you're looking to get those features, I would suggest taking a look at the Moccamaster KBG Select instead.

2. Cuisinart MultiServe

This is one the best drip coffee makers available on the market. It consistently produces delicious hot cups of joe that brew quickly and efficiently from sleek, compact hardware that's turnkey to operate, all at an extremely affordable cost.

We also liked the simplicity of customizing the brewing process. With just a dial turn, you can choose your cup size (from a 5-ounce single-serving to a full-carafe), your desired strength and whether you prefer French or regular press setting. You can even make cold brew using the push of a button, or choose from a variety of special options such as Over Ice and Roasted.

The only issue is that it doesn't match the more sophisticated models that we tried. For example, the rounded Smeg drip machine looks like a gleaming Easter egg and is a refreshing break from the traditional boxy designs of competitors. The narrow opening and slender tank can be difficult to navigate, especially in the dark when the brew is running. It takes a little more thought and effort than most consumers might want to make part of their daily routine.

3. Keurig K-Cup brewer

Keurig single serve coffee makers make use of K cups that are pre-packaged that eliminate the requirement to measure or grind grounds. They can also be controlled in brewing time. They can also brew a cup of coffee in under two minutes, which is considerably faster than a traditional drip machine.

However, the Keurigs we've tested create a lot of mess--much more than drip machines. The spout that spews hot coffee leaves a 2-inch splash area, which creates droplets all over the drip tray, machine and counter. They also create a bothersome loud sputtering noise while brewing.

Despite the mess, the Keurigs that we've tested have performed well. The K-Cafe with Smart Keurig is the most advanced model, featuring a detachable reservoir, four K-cup sizes with three temperature settings and a menu that can be customized. It also comes with an automatic milk frother that is dishwasher safe and can froth skim, whole and nondairy milk. It's an excellent choice for anyone looking to brew a different cup of coffee every morning or for large families that require more capacity.

Keurig Instant pod is a ideal choice for those looking for a single-serve machine that's easy to use and easy to use. It boasts a massive 78-ounce water tank that can make many cups before needing to be filled. It can also make a cup with the coffee you grind yourself, which is a rare feature for a Keurig. The controls are straightforward and simple, though the machine communicates with tones and chirps rather than a screen which makes it difficult to determine when a brew is ready.

4. Cuisinart Drip Machine

This reliable, mid-priced model has all the features you need to get started on your day. It has a large 14-cup reservoir as well as a clear water level indicator window. The large, clearly labeled buttons make it intuitive to use. Additionally, the filter and grinder can both be cleaned in the sink, removing the need to scrub out grounds from hard-to-reach places. It also includes a handy brew-strength selector, which allows you to select between three different settings, including bold.

The reservoir comes with a charcoal-filter which helps to remove metals as well as unpleasant flavors and odors from tap water. This could make your coffee taste bland or burnt. That means less maintenance and a better-tasting cup of coffee.

Another benefit: The programmability feature makes it easy to set your coffee to brew at a specific time. The pause button lets you to pour one or two cups of coffee before the whole pot is finished making it, which can be beneficial for busy mornings when you need an extra dose of caffeine. It also has a sleek and modern design and looks more at ease on the kitchen counter compared to most boxy drip coffee makers.

5. Ratio Six

Like its older sibling the Ratio Eight, the Six offers a premium experience with a more affordable price and a smaller footprint. Its single-button brewing process mimics a skilled pour over with precise metered flow of water and a perfect temperature for coffee. The machine uses powerful 1400 watts to heat water and complete the full brewing cycle in around five to six minutes. This is much less than the majority of the lesser models we've tested. This speedy brewing is partly due to the bloom cycle which allows grounds to settle prior to when the shower head is able to deliver the rest of the hot water for optimal extraction.

The Six features a shield of heat that is unique in order to keep the water at a perfect temperature and protect the spray head. This is among the few brewers who have been Golden Cup certified by the Specialty Coffee Association, which means that it maintains the right temperature for brewing throughout the brewing process.

In terms of design In terms of design, the Six is sleek and minimal, with a stainless steel carafe that is placed on the top of a filter holder that accepts Melitta flat bottom filters. coffee filter maker that is insulated keeps the coffee warm without the necessity of a heated plate, which helps to preserve flavor.

6. Gevi 10-Cup Espresso Maker

The Gevi is a compact elegant coffee maker that doesn't occupy much counter space. It brews a great tasting cup of coffee. The touchscreen display has cute icons that let you select one-touch commands (such as Bold or, in the case of making just half a pot, the One to Four cups feature). The machine also lets you set the timer and turn the audible brew-cycle-finished tone on or off.

The built-in grinder and the ability to dial in the size and strength of your coffee is a nice touch. It takes a little time to learn to use the machine however once you've mastered it, it is intuitive. It comes with many of the features you would expect to find on higher-end models.

The only drawback is that it's not able to brew an entire carafe at one time which could be a problem if you're serving multiple people. However, it's a great option if you're in the market for drip coffee maker with a built-in grinder and the flexibility to make different kinds of drinks. It also comes with a one-year warranty and excellent customer service.

7. Moccamaster KBGV

The Moccamaster KBGV is a premium drip coffee maker built to last. It is made by Technivorm in the Netherlands and comes with a five-year warranty. The elegant glass carafe can be positioned on the top of a warmer, which keeps the coffee at a perfect temperature for up six minutes. It can be programmed for a full pot or a half-pot and is rated to brew coffee at the recommended temperatures and times by the Specialty Coffee Association. It also has a "practically hidden drip stopper," which is a small lever located below the brew basket that stop the flow of coffee if you remove the carafe during brewing.

While this machine is more expensive than others on the market, it's worth the extra cost for those who wish to enjoy consistently delicious coffee without having to spend too much time in the kitchen. All parts that come into contact with water or ground are easily accessible. The brew process is slower than other models but still faster than pour over making. Additionally, the Moccamaster's unique design, which is reminiscent of tools used in workshops or scientific instruments and adds an elegant touch to your kitchen.
