15 Things To Give Those Who Are The Robot Vac Lover In Your Life
Top Rated Robot Vacuums

A robot vacuum can keep your floors clean enough to reduce the frequency of hoovering manually. Choose one that has good navigation, can clean corners and stairs and also has a large dust bin that requires emptying only every few times.

There are also models that clean and charge themselves, a feature that may be essential for those who have pets or kids. The top performers in our tests have good ability to overcome obstacles.

1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO and its sibling the i3 EVO are the same robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is a good option for those who want an automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but are willing to manually empty the dust bin once it gets full.

Both robots are proficient at removing surface dirt on hard floors and carpets, and they can easily navigate around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart maps of your home that help the i3+ navigate and clean up efficiently. The i3+ does not have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have test. It can get stuck on power cords and socks, and may have trouble navigating between surfaces, such as rug and hardwood.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including putting away any clutter or toys it may come across. Also, keep the dustbin and filter clear to avoid becoming clogged. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is filled or the battery is low it will return to its docking station and automatically empties its dirt into the station's external dustbin and then resumes cleaning the area where it started. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for about an hour and a half of continuous use, and it takes about three hours to fully recharge.

2. IRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line and comes with all the latest features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. the most important feature of all -- it comes with an auto-emptying dustbin, which eliminates one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and their names using Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that allows it to identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and control your robot using voice or through the app.

In our testing, the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our runner-up which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface kinds including carpeting. The biggest benefit over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying, which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and cuts down on recurring costs.

We were also awestruck by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and to move around the room, and even vacuum the area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. When connected we were able to give the i7+ voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a world of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in most homes, but also small enough to fit on a coffee table or bookcase.

The V10 is powered with seven cells of energy-dense Lithium-ion batteries that can provide power that is not fading for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filter system captures allergens and expels clean air back into your home. Its specialized head uses stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpets and collect large particles or fine dust. automatic vacuum has three suction modes to meet the task that is being completed. It swiftly switches from handheld vacuum to floor vacuum and back.

This model has a dock which charges the Dyson to 100% in 3.5 hours. It also provides the ability to connect two attachments as well as an Wand. This is a huge improvement over earlier Dysons, which take a long time to charge and are a pain to store.

The V10's main drawback is its limited run time. Its claims on the market that it can last up to 60 minutes of running time are misleading as CR's tests have shown. This is a standard battery-powered cordless vacuum's running time. This is enough time to clean the average-sized home however, it's not enough time to reach every area. (A second pass usually works). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is significantly better on low-pile floor carpet.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

One of the most well-known robot vacuums the 694 is an entry-level model that's a good option for those who don't want to spend too much on a robotic. It was able to pick up most types of debris and sizes in our tests and would often go over the same area several times to ensure a thorough clean. Its flat front allows it to reach the corners and the edges of walls.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt technology to steer clear of obstacles and guide you through your home. It's not equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, including our top picks, the i3+EVO and J7+ Series. Because of this, it may get stuck on things like phone cords or furniture that isn't as sturdy, and frequently will run out of battery before making it back to its home base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in many ways, as it has fewer parts that need regular cleaning, is fitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower recurring costs, has more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in moving itself. It also has a larger dustbin and is charged faster.

The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba. It also comes with physical boundaries strips that can be controlled by your smartphone's voice assistance. It's also more durable, has a stronger motor, and can perform better on floors with bare or low-pile.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a well-known brand in the field of home electronics. It's not a surprise that they are also among the top manufacturers of robot vacuums and mop. Their Jet Bot AI+ is equipped with cutting-edge onboard technology to aid in navigation and obstacles avoidance.

The app offers a wide range of customization options for your robotic cleaner. This includes mopping levels, virtual barriers and behavior customizations, docking frequency settings and many more. It's easy to comprehend and is user-friendly, which is the case with other Samsung devices.

In our testing our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors, and also handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86 percent of it. It didn't do very well in avoiding taller items such as cords or socks. This was disappointing. It's also a little more expensive than the other models we tested and could be a problem for certain shoppers.

The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that you can access via the app, and you can also set up a live streaming from the robot's cleaning station. This feature allows you to monitor your pets or the kids if you're away from home. The dustbin and the filter can be cleaned for the quick and easy cleaning. The Jet Bot AI+ comes with an automatic clean station which helps to keep the robot's bin clear and improves suction power.

6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum

Unlike other robotic vacuums, that are made for carpets and hard floors, Black and Decker robots are designed specifically for hard floors. The robots come with an extra-wide cleaning path and a dustbin that is 2X larger than the competition. This allows them to clean the area for longer. In addition, they have two side sweepers to clean around edges and corners. The POWERSERIES Extreme model comes with AutoSense technology, which senses whether it's picking up dirt or debris on the surface and automatically adjusts the power level. The vacuum also comes with an app that lets users to see an interactive map, control functions, and set schedules. Plus, you can monitor the battery's status and send it back to its dock to charge by pressing a button. The app allows you to personalize the lights on top of the vacuum by using different colors so you can easily identify the areas where it's focused or where it's gotten stuck.

The application also allows you to manually steer the robot in the event of need. My living room rug, for example is darkly colored that can trip up some other robots. The HRV 425BL, however, continued to move across the border without ever registering the edge. The ability to program weekly cleaning schedules is a great time-saving convenience.
