In our testing, the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our runner-up and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surfaces kinds including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin that eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces recurring cost.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines and to move around the room and sweep the area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. We were able, once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+, for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.


3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world of vacuums with cords that are like minivans and buses, this small Dyson model is an automobile. It's got the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for many households, but it also fits in well next to a coffee table or on shelves where you can wave it around like the magic tool.

The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filtration system traps allergens and releases cleaner air back into your home. Its specialized head uses stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpets and collect large particles or fine dust. It has three different suction modes that can be adjusted to the specific task. It's not equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, like our top picks, i3+EVO and J7+ Series. It is also more durable, has a stronger motor, and performs better on floors with bare or low-pile.

The HRV 425BL however, continued to move across the border without registering the high point. Also, the ability to program the weekly cleaning schedule is a wonderful time-saving benefit.
