The study intended to explore the effect of resilience on the mental health of special education teachers and the moderating effect of teaching barriers.

A sample of 681 special education teachers were recruited to complete the questionnaires of the Chinese Adult Resilience Scale, the Symptom Checklist (SCL-90) and the Teaching Barrier to Special Education Teacher Questionnaire.

The study found that 1) there was a significant correlation between resilience and mental health symptoms of the special education teachers, and resilience and its different factors had significant negative predictive effects on mental health symptoms and its different factors; and 2) teaching barriers played a negative moderating role on the effect of resilience on mental health symptoms.

The results of the study demonstrated the significance of constructing the theoretical framework of promoting special education teachers' mental health, and it could enlighten researchers and educators to improve the mental health level of special education teachers by enhancing resilience and removing teaching barriers.

Firefighters are routinely exposed to occupational stress and are therefore vulnerable to psychological problems.

This study assessed the prevalence of mental health symptoms and potential contributing factors in a sample of firefighters in Shantou city, in the Guangdong Province of China. We conducted a cross-sectional survey with 335 firefighters, including 329 male and 6 female firefighters. We used a questionnaire which assessed anxiety and depression, as indicated by the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS), as well as other mental health symptoms, using the Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90). Basic information and potential-related factors were also collected.

The average age of participants was 27.38 (SD ± 6.11) years. Assessed by the indexed score of different scales, SAS and SDS positive screening rates were 6.86% and 22.68%, respectively. SCL-90 scores indicated that 6.86% of participants had mental health symptoms. Logistic regression analysis showed that educational level, firefighter rank, and birth order were associated with mental health outcomes. Firefighters in Shantou were also shown to have better mental health outcomes than the Chinese military, but worse than the national population of firefighters.

The patient had a history of penetrating keratoplasty for Fuchs' dystrophy and had undergone multiple intraocular surgeries including pars plana vitrectomy and anterior chamber wash out for the diagnosis and management of chronic endophthalmitis. After being referred, the patient underwent a third PKP, removal of his intraocular lens (IOL), capsulectomy, and injection of intravitreal antibiotics. All surgical specimens demonstrated the growth of A. xylosoxidans. Five months after surgery, the graft remained clear without evidence of infection and best-corrected visual acuity was 20/350.Primary Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the kidney is rarely reported in the literature. It is usually associated with renal stone, and due to lack of clinical symptoms and radiological diagnostic features, patients often present at the late stages of the disease. We reported a 59-year-old woman presented with a longstanding history of flank pain and hematuria. Imaging techniques revealed enlargement of the right kidney associated with multiple staghorn stones. The patient subsequently underwent right radical nephrectomy, and histopathological examination of the mass revealed well-differentiated keratinized squamous cell carcinoma. There was no primary source for her SCC. Although the primary SCC of the kidney is a rare entity, it should be considered in patients with longstanding renal calculi, particularly for large staghorn stones of renal pelvis. On the other hand, conventional imaging could not detect this type of malignancy. In most cases, CT and MRI play an essential role in the diagnosis of such tumors.
Due to the lack of an instrument to measure mental health literacy among Persian/Farsi speaking people, this study was conducted to examine the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the Mental Health Literacy Scale (P-MHLS).

The 2019 cross-sectional study with 992 participants was conducted in Tabriz, Iran. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were performed to establish the construct validity of the P-MHLS. The internal consistency/reliability was estimated by computing Cronbach's coefficient alpha. Valproate Feasibility of the scale was examined and item response theory (IRT) models were applied to characterize the test items.

An exploratory factor analysis of data resulted in five factors, which included 30 of the 35 items and accounted for 42.00% of the variance. The construct validity of the 5-factor model was supported by the results of our confirmatory factor analysis. The factors were the 1) ability to recognize mental disorders, 2) confidentiality of mental health practitioners, 3) skills of mental health information seeking, 4) beliefs about mental illnesses, and 5) attitudes toward patients with mental illness.
