Mia40 regulates this competition as it has a rate-limiting role in mitochondrial protein import. Therefore, Mia40 is a dynamic regulator in mitochondrial biogenesis that can be exploited to stabilize cytosolic proteostasis.Retraction "Protective effects of microRNA-330 on amyloid β-protein production, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease by targeting VAV1 via the MAPK signaling pathway," by Ying Zhou, Zhou-Fan Wang, Wei Li, Hui Hong, Juan Chen, Yi Tian, Zhao-Yun Liu, J Cell Biochem. 2018; 5437-5448 The above article, published online on 25 January 2018 in Wiley Online Library (https//onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jcb.26700) has been retracted by agreement between the journal's Editor in Chief, Prof. Dr. Christian Behl, and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The retraction has been agreed following an investigation based on allegations raised by a third party. A detailed investigation revealed that several image elements of the experimental data were published elsewhere in a different scientific context. Thus, the editors consider the conclusions of this article to be invalid.Retraction "Genetic deletion of GIT2 prolongs functional recovery and suppresses chondrocyte differentiation in rats with rheumatoid arthritis," by Hui Li, Shi-Bing Guan, Yi Lu, Fei Wang, Yu-Hong Liu, Qi-Yun Liu, J Cell Biochem. 2018; 1538-1547 The above article, published online on 04 August 2017 in Wiley Online Library (https//onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jcb.26313) has been retracted by agreement between the the journal's Editor in Chief, Prof. Dr. Christian Behl, and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The authors asked to retract this manuscript as some data and experiments are flawed and validity of the overall results could not be confirmed. During an investigation based on allegations raised by a third party, several image elements of the experimental data were found to be published elsewhere in a different scientific context. The conclusions of this article are considered to be invalid.Repair tissue healing after rotator cuff repair remains a significant clinical problem, and excessive shoulder activity after surgical repair is believed to contribute to re-tears. In contrast, small animal studies have demonstrated that complete removal of activity impairs tendon healing and have advocated for an "appropriate" level of activity, but in humans the appropriate amount of shoulder activity to enhance healing is not known. As an initial step toward understanding the relationship between postoperative shoulder activity and repair tissue healing, the objectives of this study were to assess the precision, accuracy, and feasibility of a wrist-worn triaxial accelerometer for measuring shoulder activity. Following assessments of precision (±0.002 g) and accuracy (±0.006 g), feasibility was assessed by measuring 1 week of shoulder activity in 14 rotator cuff repair patients and 8 control subjects. Shoulder activity was reported in terms of volume (mean acceleration, activity count, mean activity index, active time) and intensity (intensity gradient). Patients had significantly less volume (p ≤ .03) and intensity (p = .01) than controls. Time post-surgery was significantly associated with the volume (p ≤ .05 for mean acceleration, activity count, and mean activity index) and intensity (p = .03) of shoulder activity, but not active time (p = .08). Cilengitide purchase These findings indicate this approach has the accuracy and precision necessary to continuously monitor shoulder activity with a wrist-worn sensor. The preliminary data demonstrate the ability to discriminate between healthy control subjects and patients recovering from rotator cuff repair and provide support for using a wearable sensor to monitor changes over time in shoulder activity.Retraction "Effects of S100A12 gene silencing on serum levels of anti-inflammatory/pro-inflammatory cytokines in septic rats through the ERK signaling pathway," by Xin Wen, Xin-Rui Han, Yong-Jian Wang, Shao-Hua Fan, Zi-Feng Zhang, Dong-Mei Wu, Jun Lu, Yuan-Lin Zheng, J Cell Biochem. 2018; 4038-4049 The above article, published online on 03 January 2018 in Wiley Online Library (https//onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jcb.26568) has been retracted by agreement between the the journal's Editor in Chief, Prof. Dr. Christian Behl, and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The retraction has been agreed following an investigation based on allegations raised by a third party. A detailed investigation revealed that several image elements of the experimental data were published elsewhere in a different scientific context. Thus, the editors consider the conclusions of this article to be invalid.Retraction "MicroRNA-381-induced down-regulation of CXCR4 promotes the proliferation of renal tubular epithelial cells in rat models of renal ischemia reperfusion injury," by Gui-Hong Zheng, Xin Wen, Yong-Jian Wang, Xin-Rui Han, Qun Shan, Wang Li, Tian Zhao, Dong-Mei Wu, Jun Lu, Yuan-Lin Zheng, J Cell Biochem. 2018; 3149-3161 The above article, published online on 26 October 2017 in Wiley Online Library (https//onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jcb.26466) has been retracted by agreement between the the journal's Editor in Chief, Prof. Dr. Christian Behl, and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The retraction has been agreed following an investigation based on allegations raised by a third party. A detailed investigation revealed that several image elements of the experimental data were published elsewhere in a different scientific context. Thus, the editors consider the conclusions of this article to be invalid.Retraction "MicroRNA-29b-3p prevents Schistosoma japonicum-induced liver fibrosis by targeting COL1A1 and COL3A1," by Ran Tao, Xiang-Xue Fan, Hai-Jing Yu, Guo Ai, Hong-Yue Zhang, Hong-Yan Kong, Qi-Qin Song, Yu Huang, Jia-Quan Huang, Qin Ning, J Cell Biochem. 2018; 3199-3209 The above article, published online on 01 November 2017 in Wiley Online Library (https//onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jcb.26475) has been retracted by agreement between the journal's Editor in Chief, Prof. Dr. Christian Behl, and Wiley Periodicals LLC.
