Hospital Information Systems assessment is important to ensure the quality of provided healthcare services. This research evaluates the success of the clinical information system used in the General Hospital "Asklepieio Voulas". A questionnaire was developed based on the DeLone & McLean information systems success model, and used on February 2020, to record the users' opinions regarding the information system. The reliability of the questionnaire was tested by applying Cronbach's alpha analysis, descriptive statistics was calculated for all variables of the questionnaire, and new variables was created to investigate the relationships between the model's factors. Correlation analysis between the factors and linear multiple regression analysis between some of the factors of the DeLone & McLean success model were conducted 218 users responded to the survey, 56.3% of them were medical doctors, 24.1% nurses, and 19.6% other staff of the hospital. Results highlight that the users of the system are satisfied with it. A77.3% of the participants believe that they perform their work more easily when using the system, while 89.3% of the participants believe that the system is useful in their work. According to the results of the model, system quality and information quality seems to be related with the system usage. Information quality plays the most important role in the use of the system while the system quality plays the most important role in user satisfaction. Based on the users' opinions, the "Asklepieio Voulas" Hospital Information System can be assumed as successful.
This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of tele-expertise (tele-ECG) in primary health care in Cameroon for the management of patients with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors.

It is a controlled multicenter study carried out in Cameroon's two health facilities where tele-ECG has been implemented (intervention centers) and two other where telemedicine has been not implemented (control centers). Patients having cardiovascular risk factors or diseases received usual primary health care in the control centers. In contrast, they received usual primary health care and could perform an ECG associated with cardiologists' remote expertise (tele-ECG) in the intervention centers. The primary outcome was to evaluate the rate of patients' access to an ECG test and to cardiologist' expertise.

Telemedicine is effective for the management of patients with cardiovascular diseases in primary health care. It could improve healthcare providers' clinical processes, clinical outcomes of patients and their satisfaction.

A system is being designed and implemented supporting remote monitoring and virtual coaching for cancer patients. The system is based on a distributed modular architecture involving many components encapsulating various knowledge. The Case Manager has been designed as a separate component with the aim of coordinating the problem solving strategies. A first version of the Case Manager has been released and used by the components in a prototypical scenario shown at the first project review.Quality of care and patient satisfaction are important aspects of high standard care. If clinical staff is subject to an elevated workload there is a possible decrease of both. This justifies the development of tools to quantify the workload and to find organizational changes that will normalize it. We have previously developed a simulation system to quantify the workload of the staff working in a regional reference center for the treatment of bleeding and hemorrhagic disorders. The goal of this new work is to simulate, through an agent-based model, the impact of adding a physician to the staff. Ten sets of initial parameters were defined to simulate ten typical weeks. Results show that the introduction of the new physician together with a second ambulatory room can reduce the workload of all the staff to the expected 8-hour. In this situation, in which the staff workload does not exceed the daily capacity, we may suppose that an increase in the quality of care and patient satisfaction will be possible. To identify patients with similar clinical profiles and derive insights from the records and outcomes of similar patients can help fast and precise diagnosis and other clinical decisions for rare diseases. Similarity methods are required to take into account the semantic relations between medical concepts and also the different relevance of all medical concepts presented in patients' medical records. In this paper, we introduce the methods developed in the context of rare disease screening/diagnosis from clinical data warehouse using medical concept embedding and adjusted aggregations. Our methods provided better preliminary results than baseline methods, with a significant improvement of precision among the top ranked similar patients, which is encouraging for further fine-tuning and application on a large-scale dataset for new/candidate patient identification.Building on Rogers' Diffusion of Innovation Theory, Bass models describe the diffusion processes distinguishing between innovation (p) and imitation (q). This study aimed at modelling the uptake of RIS, PACS and EHR systems in Germany and Finland. The Bass models revealed a quick and almost identical uptake process across all three systems for Finland. In contrast, the Bass models mirrored a slower uptake in Germany. DMAMCL research buy Consequently, the Finnish "imitation" coefficients were larger than the German ones. While in Germany almost free market forces were driving the adoption through imitation but without tail wind from policy, the adoption process in Finland was centrally governed. This suggests that the diffusion process in Finland reflected a well-managed roll-out of the systems rather than imitation behaviour. Thus, in order for Bass model coefficients to be understood properly, additional contextual information is required.
