quasi-experimental study conducted with 335 students from three elementary schools. Data was collected using an instrument that captured sociodemographic data and knowledge about Basic Life Support. Subsequently, they were analyzed by descriptive and analytical statistics.

to assess the effect of a breastfeeding educational intervention on the counseling provided to postpartum women.

this is a randomized controlled trial including 104 postpartum women (intervention group = 52 and control group = 52) from a private hospital, whose educational intervention was based on the pragmatic theory and on the use of a soft-hard technology called Breastfeeding Educational Kit (Kit Educativo para Aleitamento Materno, KEAM). Women were followed-up for up to 60 days after childbirth. Chi-Squared Test, Fischer's Exact Test, and Generalized Estimating Equation were used, with a significance level of 5% (p-value <0.05). The analyses were performed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 24.

Registry REBEC RBR - 8p9v7v.The scope of this study was to analyze the association between ultra-processed food (UPF) consumption and lipid parameters. read more It was a cross-sectional study performed with high school adolescents. Food consumption was analyzed by means of a 24-hour food recall form, where UPF were identified in line with the NOVA system of food classification. The total cholesterol levels, HDL-c and triglycerides were determined by enzymatic colorimetry and the LDL-c fraction estimated by formula. The Student's t-test or Mann-Whitney was used to compare averages, and linear regression to make associations among the variables. The results show that UPF consumption was more frequent in female adolescents between 17 and 19 years of age, with a family income above two minimum wages and from private schools. It was observed that individuals in the upper third of UPF consumption had a higher energetic, carbohydrate and sodium intake, with a lower intake of proteins and fibers. Moreover, it was found that a higher UPF intake was negatively associated with HDL-c levels and positively associated with triglyceride levels and dyslipidemia. Therefore, UPF is associated with a worsening of the nutritional profile of the diet and contributes to negative changes in the lipid parameters of young individuals.Chagas disease is an important endemic morbidity in Latin America affecting millions of people in the American continent. It is caused by the protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi, and transmitted through the feces of the insect vector belonging to the subfamily Triatominae. The present conducted an entomological survey of triatomines and analyzed entomological indicators, such as the rate of infestation, colonization, triatomine density and natural infection in rural communities in the municipality of Campinas do Piaui, Piaui State, in the Northeast region of Brazil. Data on the search of triatomines performed in 167 domiciliary units (DUs), harvested during the period of February to July 2019, in 12 rural communities were analyzed. The capture of triatomines occurred in all studied communities, being 76 the number of positive DUs, of the 167 surveyed, presenting a global rate of infestation of 45.51%. Two triatomines species were collected Triatoma brasiliensis (98.49%) and T. pseudomaculata (1.51%), the first was found in the domiciliary and peridomiciliary areas, while the second was captured only in peridomiciliary areas.
