The development of coronary artery disease (CAD), a highly prevalent disease worldwide, is influenced by several modifiable risk factors. Predictive models built using machine learning (ML) algorithms may assist clinicians in timely detection of CAD and may improve outcomes.

In this study, we applied six different ML algorithms to predict the presence of CAD amongst patients listed in 'the Cleveland dataset.' The generated computer code is provided as a working open source solution with the ultimate goal to achieve a viable clinical tool for CAD detection.

All six ML algorithms achieved accuracies greater than 80%, with the 'neural network' algorithm achieving accuracy greater than 93%. The recall achieved with the 'neural network' model is also the highest of the six models (0.93), indicating that predictive ML models may provide diagnostic value in CAD.

When this occurs, conservative treatment through POP reduction, intravenous antibiotics and supportive care seems to provide an interesting option in the wait of definitive management of POP. This was a retrospective observational study. A total of 410 females (thyroid surgery and later breast cancer) and 524 females (thyroid surgery only) were compared with regard to pathological thyroid findings, thyroid hormones, thyroid autoimmunity and type of breast cancer. Thyroid autoimmunity, especially antithyroid peroxidase antibodies, significantly increased the risk of breast cancer (p less then 0.01); however, this was not true for other thyroid diseases, including thyroid cancer. No variant of breast cancer was predominant, and only thyroid autoimmunity was associated with the risk of breast cancer. Further research is needed to explain the impacts of different antithyroid antibodies.

Emergence of AMR in the food production industry represents a serious risk for exposed workers, their relatives and consumers. This perspective presents the challenge of AMR through the lens of food safety, by highlighting its multisectoral and multidimensional implications not only on the Sustainable Development Goals for food safety and public health but also on food security, animal health and welfare, the environment and climate, and socioeconomic development.
There are limited data on the feasibility of programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) expression as a prognostic biomarker in metastatic angiosarcoma.

We retrospectively collected and analyzed the data on PD-L1 expression in 70 angiosarcoma patients who were diagnosed at our center between 2005 and 2019.

Thirteen (19%) patients had PD-L1 expression. Metastatic angiosarcoma patients who were PD-L1-negative (n=24) showed longer median progression-free survival (4.9 vs 1.6months; p=0.04) and median overall survival (OS; 10.9 vs 5.4months; p=0.01) than those who were PD-L1-positive (n=4). PD-L1 status proved to be a significant factor for OS.
