Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever thought of purchase a robot vacuum, now is the time to get one. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest advancement is an obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas you don’t wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.
The design is also superior to the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that resembles a toy rather than the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ swiftly removed dust, dirt, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot do this. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as smart as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs The j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to determine if they are working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors A hybrid is the ideal choice. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. These bots also have various additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock produces several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and although it's not equipped with certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably soft around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem which many robot vacuums often fail. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few missed corners and on walls.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or change the labels of rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock designed specifically to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place it is done without difficulty. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for most people but it can help you to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design and features are some of the most advanced available however, it's also expensive.
The base station is attractive and hides it when not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The station's most appealing point is how it automates various tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the only robovac that I've used that has done well at picking up the dust from floors with no. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors,, and it doesn't have an dock that allows the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.
While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning-related options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price tag.
But if you want to save some money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robot there are many alternatives on the market which include a variety of eufy models that cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper and has more features, including the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on bare floors carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.
4. eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a price that is affordable. robotic vacuum cleaner on sale to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be placed near an outlet and have enough space to move.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It can be placed under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is a little more modest than other models, sporting sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way that the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from other models. It uses an integrated map to make a picture of the immovable objects in its path. It can remember the items it has cleaned and where it cannot access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning from where it began.
The sleek G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30, on the other hand, is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be empty as often, and it has less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
