Amesia sanguiflua (Lepidoptera, Zygaenidae) is found in northern India, Myanmar, Indochina, Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Java, and China. In the present study, we sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome of A. sanguiflua. The mitochondrial genome was 15,203 bp in length, containing a typical set of 37 genes (13 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNA genes, 22 tRNA genes) and a 346bp non-coding A+T-rich region. Phylogenetic analysis using mitochondrial genomes of 40 species showed that A. sanguiflua formed a well-supported monophyletic group with other Zygaenidae species.Lilium brownii F.E.Brown var. viridulum Baker is a medicinal and food plant that is widely distributed in northern and eastern Asia. Here, we report on the complete chloroplast genome sequence of L. brownii var. viridulum. The chloroplast genome is 152,665 bp in size and includes two inverted repeat regions of 53,052 bp, which is separated by a large single-copy region of 82,085 bp and a small single-copy region of 17,528 bp. A total of 131 genes were predicted, including 38 tRNA, 8 rRNA, and 85 protein-coding genes. Phylogenetic analysis placed L. brownii var. viridulum under the family Liliaceae.Potamiscus motuoensis is the only one freshwater crab species distributed in Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon and its complete mitochondrial genome was obtained for the first time. The complete mitochondrial genome of P. motuoensis is 17,971 bp in length, including 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, 2 rRNA genes, and 1 control region. In addition, the mitogenome has 19 noncoding regions ranging from 1 to 1396 bp in length. The report of the mitochondrial genome will enrich the species diversity of Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon and provide data support for further research. The complete chloroplast genome sequence of Hippophae rahmnoides subsp. sinensis was characterized from Illumina pair-end sequencing. The chloroplast genome of H. rahmnoides subsp. sinensis was 156,355 bp in length, containing a large single-copy region (LSC) of 84,002 bp, a small single-copy region (SSC) of 19,055 bp, and two inverted repeat (IR) regions of 26,649 bp. GSK1838705A The overall GC content is 36.6%, while the corresponding values of the LSC, SSC, and IR regions are 64.5%, 69.2%, and 60.1%, respectively. The genome contains 131 complete genes, including 88 protein-coding genes, 38 tRNA genes (29 tRNA species), and 8 rRNA genes (4 rRNA species). The neighbour-joining phylogenetic analysis showed that H. rahmnoides subsp. sinensis and H. rahmnoides clustered together as sisters to other H. rahmnoides species. The muskrat Ondatra zibethicus is native to North America, However it has successfully dispersed into most areas of northeast China in the past decades, which may lead to potential impact on endemic eco-system. We determined and annotated the whole mtDNA genome of the muskrat O. zibethicus to better understand the evolutionary relationship of this invasive species with other Rodentia distributed in China. The complete mitogenome is 16,351 bp in length, includes 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, 2 rRNA genes, and a control region. We built the phylogenetic tree of muskrat and other 11 most closely related Rodentia species. In this study, we analyzed the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of the hawk moth, Theretra oldenlandiae. The complete mitogenome sequence of T. oldenlandiae was observed to be a circular molecule 15,312 bp long and consisting of 13 protein-coding genes (PCG), 2 ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes, and 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes (GenBank accession number MN885801). The nucleotide composition is biased toward adenine and thymine (80.0% A + T). The A + T-rich region was found between rrnS and trnM, and this entire region was 423 bp long.In the present study, we analyzed the complete chloroplast genome sequence of Betula costata using the Ion Torrent platform. The chloroplast genome of B. costata was found to be 160,547 bp in length, with a large single-copy (LSC) region of 89,385 bp, a small single-copy (SSC) region of 19,038 bp, and a pair of inverted repeats (IRs) of 26,062 bp each. The overall GC content of the chloroplast genome was 36.1%. It contained 132 genes, including 87 protein-coding genes, 8 rRNA genes, and 37 tRNA genes. The phylogenetic analysis indicated that B. costata is closely related to Betula nana and Betula pubescens.Pomacanthus arcuatus is one of most important genera of Pomacanthidae. However, the systemically classification and taxonomic studies have so far been limited. In this study, we report the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of P. arcuatus. The mitogenome has 16,718 base pairs (54.4% A + T content) and made up of total of 37 genes (13 protein-coding, 22 transfer RNAs and 2 ribosomal RNAs), and a putative control region. This study will provide useful genetic information for future phylogenetic and taxonomic classification of Pomacanthidae.Ctenochaetus flavicauda is one of most important genera of Acanthuridae. However, the systemically classification and taxonomic studies have so far been limited. In this study, we report the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of C. flavicauda. The mitogenome has 15,772 base pairs (55.5% A + T content) and made up of total of 37 genes (13 protein-coding, 22 transfer RNAs and 2 ribosomal RNAs), and a putative control region. This study will provide useful genetic information for future phylogenetic and taxonomic classification of Acanthuridae.Acanthurus achilles is one of most important genera of Acanthuridae. However, the systemically classification and taxonomic studies have so far been limited. In this study, we report the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of A. achilles. The mitogenome has 16,537 base pairs (55.7% A + T content) and made up of total of 37 genes (13 protein-coding, 22 transfer RNAs and 2 ribosomal RNAs), and a putative control region. This study will provide useful genetic information for future phylogenetic and taxonomic classification of Acanthuridae. The complete mitochondrial genome DNA sequence of Cryodraco antarcticus was 17,857 bp in size. It consists of 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNAs, 22 transfer RNAs, and one control region. Among 22 tRNA genes, 8 tRNAs were encoded on the L-strand. The overall base composition of the genome is 26.45% for A, 25.96% for T, 29.78% for C, and 17.81% for G. The phylogenetic tree suggested C. antarcticus was genetically closest to some species in family Channichthyidae. This study could provide valuable information for further studies on population structure, conservation genetics and molecular evolution of C. antarcticus.
