The Gulf Resilience on Women's Health (GROWH) is a diverse cohort of reproductive-age women living in southeastern Louisiana during the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill. In our sample of 1482 women, we used multinomial logistic regression to model odds ratios of wanting future children and assessed effect measure modification by educational attainment. We also estimated odds ratios of adolescent pregnancy with binomial logistic regression. Exposure to ACEs increased odds of wanting future children across all ACE sub-types. Among women with lower educational attainment, three or more ACEs (overall, childhood, and adolescence) had over two times the odds of wanting future children. History of ACE and the various sub-types, except for emotional abuse, were associated with increased risk of adolescent pregnancy. ACEs may be linked to adolescent pregnancy and reproductive plans, and variations by educational status highlighted social discrepancies and importance of social context in evaluation and intervention.Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a hard-to-treat cancer. In addition, the role of other tissue-resident populations such as tissue resident regulatory T (Treg) cells, mucosal associated invariant T (MAIT) cells, γδ T cells, and invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells in anti-tumor immunity is also actively being investigated. The study adopted a cross-sectional survey. Data was collected from 2946 nurses and 556 physicians employed at four public hospitals in Norway. We analysed data using descriptive statistics, correlations, Cronbach's alpha, confirmatory factor analyses and structural equation modelling. To explain job performance and uncertainty, two sets of explanatory variables were used first, satisfactions of three psychological needs-namely autonomy, social support and competence development-and second, employee perceptions of hospital management quality (HMQ) and local leadership quality (LLQ). The results supported the theoretical model among nurses and physicians; (1) HMQ was positively associated with LLQ; (2) LLQ was positively associated with psychological needs; (3) the majority of psychological needs were positively associated with job performance and negatively associated with uncertainty, but more of these relations were significant among nurses than physicians. The results suggest that job performance and uncertainty among nurses and physicians can be improved by helping personnel meet their psychological needs. Improving job design and staff involvement will be important to strengthen need satisfaction. Results suggest enhancement of HMQ and LLQ will be positively related to need satisfaction among nurses and physicians and will strengthen job performance and reduce uncertainty.Chemical defoliation is an essential agricultural practice in cotton production for mechanic harvesting. Thidiazuron (TDZ) is the active ingredient of the chemical defoliant used on cotton. So far, few studies havefocused on the method of identifying the sensitivity of cotton cultivars to TDZ. Therefore, a greenhouse soil culture experiment was performed by using two widely cultivatedupland cotton cultivars CRI 49 and CRI 12 treated with seven different concentrations (0, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 1000 mg L-1) of TDZ at the seedling stage to establish a screening system. Principal component analysis and the membership function value (MFV) method was used to analyze the physiological and phenotypic characters, including abscission rate, amino acids content, net photosynthetic rate (Pn), etc. Finally, we developed a mathematical evaluation model, selected 100 mg L-1 TDZ as the optimal concentration and identified reliable characters net photosynthetic rate (Pn), stomatal conductance (Gs), and transpiration rate (Tr) to evaluate cotton leaf abscission sensitivity.
