91, p-value less then 0001) for a group of 17 viral families, corresponding to 40% of all families with icosahedral structures described to date. These data indicated that unrelated viruses with diverse genome types adopt a common underlying mechanism for capsid assembly based on R-arms.Influence of polyethylene glycol (PEG) mediated osmotic stress on reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging machinery of Chinese potato (Solenostemon rotundifolius (Poir.) J. K. Morton) was investigated. Five genotypes of Chinese potato were raised in Murashige and Skoog (MS) basal medium containing 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP, 1 mg L-1) along with various concentrations of PEG-6000 mediated stress conditions (0, -0.2 and -0.5 MPa) and evaluated for osmotic stress tolerance in vitro. The medium containing PEG-6000 had a detrimental effect on plantlet growth and development while compared with the control. Accumulation of H2O2 was lower in Sreedhara and Subala and higher in Nidhi under PEG stress, which was evident by in situ detection in leaves. Lipid peroxidation product such as malondialdehyde (MDA) content was increased due to PEG stress which was more in susceptible genotype than that in tolerant ones. An enhanced ROS-scavenging antioxidant enzyme was observed under stress with respect to the control. The enzymes of ascorbate-glutathione cycle showed an important role in scavenging ROS. The imposition of PEG stress also increased the non-enzymatic antioxidants viz., the ascorbate and reduced glutathione content which was prominent in tolerant genotypes in comparison to susceptible. The present study indicated that, Sreedhara and Subala showed more tolerance to osmotic stress with better ROS scavenging machineries which would be the lines of interest for augmenting future breeding strategies in this climate resilient minor tuber crop.Near infrared spectra (NIR) technology is a widespread detection method with high signal to noise ratio (SNR) while has poor modeling interpretation due to the overlapped features. Alternatively, mid-infrared spectra (MIR) technology demonstrates more chemical features and gives a better explanation of the model. Yet, it has the defects of low SNR. With the purpose of developing a model with plenty of characteristics as well as with higher SNR, NIR and MIR technologies are combined to perform high-level fusion strategy for quantitative analysis. A novel chemometrical method named as Mahalanobis distance weighted (MDW) is proposed to integrate NIR and MIR techniques comprehensively. Mahalanobis distance (MD) based on the principle of spectral similarity is obtained to calculate the weight of each sample. Specifically, the weight is assigned to the inverse ratio of the corresponding MD. Besides, the proposed MDW method is applied to NIR and MIR spectra of active ingredients in deltamethrin and emamectin benzoate formulations for quantitative analysis. As a consequence, the overall results show that the MDW method is promising with noticeable improvement of predictive performance than individual methods when executing high-level fusion for quantitative analysis.A 360-area surface-based cortical parcellation is extended to study mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's disease (AD) from healthy control (HC) using the joint human connectome project multi-modal parcellation (JHCPMMP) proposed by us. We propose a novel classification method named as JMMP-LRR to accurately identify different stages toward AD by integrating the JHCPMMP with the logistic regression-recursive feature elimination (LR-RFE). In three-group classification, the average accuracy is 89.0% for HC, MCI, and AD compared to previous studies using other cortical separation with the best classification accuracy of 81.5%. By counting the number of brain regions whose feature is in the feature subset selected with JMMP-LRR, we find that five brain areas often appear in the selected features. The five core brain areas are Fusiform Face Complex (L-FFC), Area 10d (L-10d), Orbital Frontal Complex (R-OFC), Perirhinal Ectorhinal (L-PeEc) and Area TG dorsal (L-TGd, R-TGd). The features corresponding to the five core brain areas are used to form a new feature subset for three classifications with the average accuracy of 80.0%. Results demonstrate the importance of the five core brain regions in identifying different stages toward AD. Experiment results show that the proposed method has better accuracy for the classification of HC, MCI, AD, and it also proves that the division of brain regions using JHCPMMP is more scientific and effective than other methods.Molecular analysis techniques such as gene expression analysis and proteomics have contributed greatly to our understanding of cancer heterogeneity. In prior studies, gene expression analysis was shown to stratify patient outcome on the basis of tumor-microenvironment associated genes. A specific gene expression profile, referred to as ECM3 (Extracellular Matrix Cluster 3), indicated poorer survival in patients with grade III tumors. In this work, we aimed to visualize the downstream effects of this gene expression profile onto the tissue, thus providing a spatial context to altered gene expression profiles. Using infrared spectroscopic imaging, we identified spectral patterns specific to the ECM3 gene expression profile, achieving a high spectral classification performance of 0.87 as measured by the area under the curve of the receiver operating characteristic curve. On a patient level, we correctly identified 20 out of 22 ECM3 group patients and 19 out of 20 non-ECM3 group patients by using this spectroscopic imaging-based classifier. By comparing pixels that were identified as ECM3 or non-ECM3 with H&E and IHC images, we were also able to observe an association between tissue morphology and the gene expression clusters, showing the ability of our method to capture broad outcome associated features from infrared images. The current study aimed to explore some important insights into the breast cancer mortality (BCM) trends and projections among four Asian countries by using five advanced stochastic mortality models. Idelalisib solubility dmso BCM data over 28 years from 1990-2017 with ages 20-84 were retrieved from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study 2017 for four Asian countries, namely, China, India, Pakistan, and Thailand. Five stochastic mortality models with the family of generalized age-period-cohort were implemented to find the present and future BCM trends in these four Asian countries. Based on Cairns-Blake-Dowd (CBD) model and Lee-Carter model (LCM), overall, results revealed that BCM increased with the passage of time. Aging factor was the most influential factor of elevated BCM in each Asian country under consideration. Projection of BCM showed that mortality rates might continue to grow with time, especially in older ages in each Asian country under study. The highest forecasted BCM rates were observed in Pakistan as compared to other countries.
