Jonas is a male. A year earlier a unidentified needle nose plain flow over the community twice. They were told to go in side. After a while a man announced it was a it was a pilot in training made a wrong turn. As punishment he was to be released. They community is very strict. He was eager and exited (as he decided) for this special December to come. But he was a bit apprehensive of it. Every evening after supper they told thier feelings (Mom, dad, little sister and Jonas). Lily is the little sister she is seven. father is a nurturer. Mother works at department of justice. For each couple they can only have one boy and one girl.

1 I don't think the is much significance about the book name yet, other then maybe the giver is a parent???
2 When the father says he broke the smallest rule and Jonas is in awe and exited i think when one of are role models does something we think is cool we have the same reaction. When he was about to meet his new little sister he was over thinking it like what shed look like, act like and when he saw her thought she was perfect.Well I think we do that to.

At the beginning of the chapter lily squealed" ow look! Is ent he cute!!? Look how tiny he is! And he has funny eyes like yours Jonas!!" Jonas glared at her. He did not like when she mentioned his eyes. So I think just cause his eyes are different he feels uncomfortable when people say he looks different cause we all like to not stand out.
"I think new born children are so cute I hope i get assigned to be a birth mother" Lily sighed. " Lily!" Mother spoke very sharply. " don't say that. There's very little honor in that assignment. You have to make sure you choose a good job.
As Asher and Jonas were playing catch with the apple the apple changed. So I think that's like if you look at an object it stays the same but if you move around the object changes shape, size and some time color.
