Man made design of farnesyl-electrostatic peptides for development of a proteins kinase A membrane translocation change.
Bisphenol analogues (BPs) have been widely applied to industry as the substitutes for bisphenol A (BPA), which have been detected frequently in surface water, sediment, sewage and sludge. The presence of BPs in natural environment could pose risks to the aquatic ecosystem and human health. This study outlined the occurrence, toxicity of BPs in aquatic environment and manifested their potential ecological risk to the aquatic ecosystem throughout the world. As for occurrence, BPA was losing its dominance, while BPs were occupying a large part, especially for bisphenol S (BPS), bisphenol F (BPF) and bisphenol AF (BPAF). In some heavily polluted areas, BPs concentration reached µg/L in aquatic environment, which in the effluent of sewage plants was higher than that in the surface water. BPs content in sludge and sediment was more than that in the aqueous phase. All BPs other than BPS and Bisphenol P (BPP) had moderate toxicity. The current data supports that exposure to BPs may have adverse effects on dysfunction of endocrine system such as thyroid hormone concentration, enzyme activity, and even cell dysfunction, gene damage and chromosomal abnormalities. According to the risk quotient (RQ), BPF shows the highest ecological risk in China, Japan and South Korea, followed by BPA and BPS. The occurrence of bisphenols and their neurotoxicity on aquatic organisms merit further investigation.Mercury (Hg) is one of the most toxic heavy metals. It can migrate around the globe and magnify through the food chain, ultimately harming human health. Urinary Hg reflects recent exposure of Hg, which reflects the status of environmental contamination by Hg. This review summarized the levels and presented temporal trends of urinary Hg in Chinese people (both the general public and the occupationally exposed people) reported from 1970s to 2010s. It was found that urinary Hg levels in 92.3% of the reported population were less than the reference value (10.0 µg/L) recommended by Chinese health authority, while 76.9% were less than the reference value (4.0 µg/L) recommended by World Health Organization (WHO) in the general public in China. For the temporal trend from 1970s to 2010s, the urinary Hg levels in the general public in China were found to decrease gradually. In the occupationally exposed people, the urinary Hg levels generally exceeded the reference value (10.0 µg/L) for the general public, and about h China are decreasing.Emerging evidences having suggested that particular lncRNAs have a potential effect on PD progression through provoking damage and inflammatory responses of microglia/ dopaminergic cells. In addition, paraquat can be accumulated in human body through various approaches and have an increased risk for Parkinson's disease. CRCD2 However, the specific role and mechanism of lncRNA related to neurotoxic in the progression of PD is unclear. In our study, a mouse PD model was established induced by the intraperitoneal injection of paraquat (5 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg) every three days (10 times). We determined differential expression of lncRNA AK039862 and its potential targeted genes Pafah1b1/Foxa1 in PD mouse model, then we used fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) to visualize the cellular distribution of AK039862. Short interfering RNAs (siRNAs) and overexpression plasmids were designed for knockdown or overexpression of AK039862. To simulate the coexisting dopaminergic cells and microglia cells in vitro, we applied sevdels. In summary, we found that PQ inhibited the proliferation and migration of microglial cells, and elucidated AK039862 played a key role in PQ-induced neuroinflammatory damage through Pafah1b1/Foxa1. Finally, inflammatory AK039862 is involved in the complex communication between microglia and dopaminergic cells in the environment of PQ damage. In San Luis Potosí, Mexico, the exploitation of minerals has historically been carried out as an activity that has left in its path environmental liabilities, with high concentrations of heavy metals. These metals have undergone weathering by rain and wind and have moved closer to inhabited locations as is the case of Cerro de San Pedro (CSP) and Villa de la Paz (VDP). The objective of this study is to show the biological alteration of soils due to the presence of heavy metals and metalloids like Cadmium (Cd), Copper (Cu), Lead (Pb) and Arsenic (As) and to find the relationship between contamination and risk indexes. Soil samples were obtained from sites with historical records of mining activity and their surroundings. Several analyses were performed, such as pH levels, organic matter, electrical conductivity, clays, heavy metals and As. Moreover, Community Level Physiological profiling (CLPP) were conducted. The obtained evidence showed high levels of contamination by As and heavy metals in both sites (CSP en the physicochemical characteristics, As, and heavy metals took place, on the metabolic activity, causing alterations to soil functions.Rapid-monitoring of drugs has attracted tremendous consideration owing to robust global demand for cost-effective and high effectiveness. Binary metal oxides with various morphology have been reported as electrodes for electrochemical sensor to fulfilling the clinical and enviromental requirements. In this study, strontium tungstate (SrWO4) nanoflakes have been successfully prepared via the facile sonochemical method for the first time. The characteristics of as-prepared SrWO4 are systematically measured by various analytical and spectroscopic methods. The SrWO4 nanoflakes are utilized to modify the electrochemical electrode for the sulfadiazine (SDZ) determination. The SrWO4 modified electrode possesses excellent electrocatalytic activity and high recognition capability for the electrochemical detection of SDZ. Impressively, the as-fabricated SrWO4 modified electrode attainted lowest oxidation peak at +0.93 V (vs Ag/AgCl2) with the limit of detection of 0.009 μM, the sensitivity of 0.123 µA µM-1 cm2 and linear detection range of 0.05-235 μM. The enhanced performance of proposed SrWO4-based sensors could be attributed to the catalytic effect, large surface area, good electrical conductivity and physicochemical nature. Notably, the electrocatalytic performances of the SDZ sensors are good as compared to the previous literature, indicating the significance of the newly designed SrWO4 modified electrode. The real-sample diagnosis by the SDZ detection in environmental sample demonstrates the proposed SrWO4-based sensors with good recovery range.
