This study examined the global trend of research related to DyP through a bibliometric analysis. The search term 'dye decolourizing peroxidase' or 'DyP-type peroxidase' was used to retrieve published articles between 2007 and 2019 from the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases. A total of 62 articles were published within the period, with an annual growth rate of 17·6%. The highest research output was observed in 2015, which accounted for about 13% of the total output in 12 years. Germany published the highest number of articles (n = 10, 16·1%) with a total citation of 478. However, the lowest number of published articles among the top 10 countries was observed in India and Korea (n = 2, 3·2%). Research collaboration was low (collaboration index = 4·08). In addition to dye decolourizing peroxidase(s) and DyP-type peroxidase(s) (n = 33, 53·23%), the top authors keywords and research focus included lignin and lignin degradation (n = 10, 16·1 %). More so, peroxidase (n = 59, 95·2%), amino acid sequence (n = 27, 46·8%), lignin (n = 24, 38·7%) and metabolism (n = 23, 37·1%) were highly represented in keywords-plus. The most common conceptual framework from this study include characterization, lignin degradation and environmental proteomics. Apart from the inherent efficient dye-decolourizing properties, this study showed that DyP has emerging biotechnological potentials in lignin degradation and remediation of phenolic environmental pollutants, which at the moment are under explored globally.
Recently, brain tumor segmentation has made important progress. However, the quality of manual labels plays an important role in the performance, while in practice, it could vary greatly and in turn could substantially mislead the learning process and decrease the accuracy. We need to design a mechanism to combine label correction and sample reweighting to improve the effectiveness of brain tumor segmentation.

We propose a novel sample reweighting and label refinement method, and a novel three-dimensional (3D) generative adversarial network (GAN) is introduced to combine these two models into an united framework.

Extensive experiments on the BraTS19 dataset have demonstrated that our approach obtains competitive results when compared with other state-of-the-art approaches when handling the false labels in brain tumor segmentation.

Podocytes apoptosis is a hallmark of membranous nephropathy (MN). Circ_0000524 has been reported to be associated with patients with MN, whereas the effect of circ_0000524 on podocytes apoptosis and the underlying mechanisms in MN have not been elaborated.

Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and Western blot were performed to detect the expressions of circ_0000524, microRNA-500a-5p (miR-500a-5p), and C-X-C chemokine ligand 16 (CXCL16) in MN tissues and podocytes. Podocyte injury was induced by angiotensin II (AngII). Dolutegravir Cell apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry. Caspase-3 or caspase-9 activity was evaluated using a caspase-3 or caspase-9 activity assay kit, respectively. Dual-luciferase reporter assay, RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) and pull-down assay were used to address the relationship among circ_0000524,miR-500a-5p and CXCL16.

Upregulation of circ_0000524 and CXCL16 and low expression of miR-500a-5p were observed in MN tissues. AngII treatment induced the overexpression of circ_0000524 and CXCL16, a decrease of miR-500a-5p, and induced cell apoptosis in podocytes. Circ_0000524 negatively modulated the expression of miR-500a-5p. Circ_0000524 depletion inhibited podocyte apoptosis, which was rescued by loss of miR-500a-5p. miR-500a-5p contained the binding sites with CXCL16. Circ_0000524 knockdown hampered CXCL16 expression by upregulating miR-500a-5p expression. Additionally, miR-500a-5p upregulation suppressed AngII-induced podocyte apoptosis, which was rescued by enhanced expression of CXCL16.

Insulinomas are rare pancreatic neoplasms, which can usually be cured by surgery. As the diagnostic delay is often long and the prolonged hyperinsulinemia may have long-term effects on health and the quality of life, we studied the long-term health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in insulinoma patients.

The HRQoL of adults diagnosed with an insulinoma in Finland in 1980-2010 was studied with the 15D instrument, and the results were compared to those of an age- and gender-matched sample of the general population. The minimum clinically important difference in the total 15D score has been defined as ±0.015. The clinical characteristics, details of insulinoma diagnosis and treatment, and the current health status of the subjects were examined to specify the possible determinants of long-term HRQoL.

Thirty-eight insulinoma patients participated in the HRQoL survey (response rate 75%). All had undergone surgery with a curative aim, a median of 13 (min 7, max 34) years before the survey.
