The obtained results suggest that G. mangostana, in particular its peels, could be a valuable source of antioxidants. The extraction parameters, such as the time or solvent concentration, as well as the type of plant material, had an impact on the tested properties of the extracts. However, more detailed studies on the antioxidant activity of the studied plants are required.

In this study the effects of the use of chia mucilage - CM coating in combination with propolis liquid extract - PLE on the physico-chemical (total volatile basic nitrogen - TVB-N, peroxide value - PV, thiobarbituric acid - TBA) and bacteriological (total viable count - TVC, psychrophilic bacteria count -PBC) quality properties of sea bass fillets during storage at 2°C, as well as its potency, were investigated.
The fillets were randomly separated into four lots and subjected to the following treatments by dipping chia mucilage - CM, chia mucilage + 0.1% PLE, chia mucilage + 0.3% PLE and control (uncoated), then stored at 2°C.
The results showed that the chia musilage coating containing PLE was effective on TVC and PCA. While the shelf life of the control group was 8 days, the CM + 0.3% PLE group was 20 days.
According to these results, it can be said that chia mucilage coating preserves the shelf life and quality of chilled seafood and can be used safely as a coating material.

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world and can therefore have a significant impact on public health on account of its health-promoting properties. Evidence from observational, clinical, and animal studies suggests that coffee may play an important role in human health. This article summarizes the effects of coffee on liver health, especially on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and its progression liver fibrosis, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. In addition, this article describes the pathogenesis, prevalence, diagnosis, and nutrition guidelines relating to NAFLD. Possible mechanisms responsible for the effects of coffee on the liver are also suggested.
This study aims to describe and understand the contributions of frontline, middle and top management healthcare professionals in detecting areas of potential improvement in hospital patient flow and proposing solutions.
This is a qualitative interview study. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 22 professionals in the orthopedic department of a 250-bed academic teaching hospital. Data were analyzed through a thematic framework analytical approach by using an
framework. The Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative (COREQ) checklist for qualitative studies was followed.
When dealing with a hospital-wide process, the involvement of all professionals, including nonhealth professionals, can reveal priority areas for improvement and for services integration. The improvements identified by the professionals largely focus on covering major gaps detected in the technical and administrative quality.
This study focused on the professional viewpoint and the connections between services and further studies should explore the role of patient involvement. The study design could limit the generalizability of findings.
Improving high-quality, efficient hospital patient flow cannot be accomplished without learning the perspective of the healthcare professionals on the process of service delivery.
Few qualitative studies explore professionals' perspectives on patient needs in hospital flow management. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/Y-27632.html This study provides insights into what produces value for the patient within a complex process by analyzing the contribution of professionals from their particular role in the organization.

Most of the research has focused on school-age children, ages 6 to 18 years. Yet, recent studies suggest that anxiety can emerge in young children, under 6 years, with ASD. This scoping review synthesized the literature on anxiety in young children with ASD. Three domains of anxiety research were reviewed (a) prevalence/severity, phenomenology, and course; (b) correlates; and (c) treatment. Four online databases were searched from the start of the database until March 2020. Keywords pertaining to anxiety, autism, and young children were entered. The search identified 44 articles for inclusion. These studies varied with respect to sample source, informants, and measures to assess anxiety. The overall prevalence of anxiety ranged from 1.6 to 62%. Sixteen of 17 studies found that young children with ASD had higher levels of anxiety compared to various control groups. A variety of DSM anxiety syprove with cognitive behavioral treatment. These findings suggest that research on anxiety in young children with ASD should be prioritized to improve mental health outcomes.
The prognostic and clinicopathological significance of POU Class 5 Homeobox 1 (POU5F1) among various cancers are disputable heretofore. The diagnostic value and functional mechanism of POU5F1 in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC) have not been studied thoroughly.
An integrative strategy of meta-analysis, bioinformatics, and wet-lab approach was used to explore the diagnostic and prognostic significance of POU5F1 in various types of tumors, especially in LIHC. Meta-analysis was utilized to investigate the impact of POU5F1 on prognosis and clinicopathological parameters in various cancers. The expression level and diagnostic value of POU5F1 were assessed by qPCR in plasma collected from LIHC patients and controls. The correlation between POU5F1 and tumor infiltrating immune cells (TIICs) in LIHC was evaluated by CIBERSORT. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was performed based on TCGA. Hub genes and related pathways were identified on the basis of co-expression genes of POU5F1.
Elevated POU5F1 was associated with poor OS, DFS, RFS, and DSS in various cancers.
