Similarly, response rates were respectively lower (24% [95% CI 19-30]), lower (21% [95% CI 13-31]), and comparable (46% [95% CI 19-75]) to meta-analyses results. A similar share of early terminators and completers achieved remission and response.
A substantial proportion of patients had incomplete ROM data after data linkage. Limited set of patient characteristics to check for selection bias.
Despite the more heterogeneous patient population in clinical practice, the effectiveness of an AGT program, emphasizing strict guideline adherence, approached that found in RCTs. A fixed number of treatment sessions may not suit all individual patients.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new infectious disease with high transmissibility and morbidity. selleck inhibitor It has caused substantial mental distress to medical professionals. We aimed to compare the psychological impact of the COVID-19 outbreak between frontline and non-frontline medical workers in China.
This case-control study recruited 1173 frontline and 1173 age- and sex-matched non-frontline medical workers during the COVID-19 outbreak (February 11 to 26, 2020). A set of online questionnaires were used to measure mental problems (i.e., anxiety, insomnia, and depressive symptoms), and help-seeking behavior and treatment for these mental problems.
Frontline medical workers had higher rates of any mental problem (52.6% vs. 34.0%, adjusted OR=1.88, 95% CI=1.57-2.25), anxiety symptoms (15.7% vs. 7.4%, adjusted OR=1.95, 95% CI=1.46-2.61), depressed mood (marginally insignificant; 14.3% vs. 10.1%, adjusted OR=1.32, 95% CI=0.99-1.76) and insomnia (47.8% vs. 29.1%, adjusted OR=1.96, 95% CI=1.63-2.36) than non-frontline medical workers. No significant difference was observed in terms of suicidal ideation (12.0% vs. 9.0%, adjusted OR=1.25, 95% CI=0.92-1.71), help-seeking (4.5% vs. 4.5%, adjusted OR=1.00, 95% CI=0.53-1.87) or treatment (3.4% vs. 2.3%, adjusted OR=1.38, 95% CI=0.54-3.52) for mental problems.
The case-control nature ofthe data precludes causal inferences, and there is a possibility of bias related to self-reports.
Frontline medical workers had more mental problems but comparable help-seeking behaviors and treatment for these problems than non-frontline medical workers. These findings highlight the timely mental support and intervention for medical workers, especially for those on the frontline.

The physiological mechanism of suicide attempt (SA) in bipolar II disorder (BD-II) remains only partially understood. The study seeks to identify the dysfunction pattern in suicide brain for BD-II patients.
Graph theory was utilized to explore topological properties at whole-brain, module and region levels based on resting-state functional MRI (rs-fMRI) data, which acquired from 38 un-medicated BD-II patients with at least one SA, 60 none SA (NSA) patients and 69 healthy controls (HCs). Finally, the correlation relationship between graph metrics and clinical variables were estimated.
Compared with NSA patients and HCs, the functional connectivity strength between limbic/sub-cortical (LIMB/SubC) and frontoparietal network (FPN) were significantly weakened. Nodal strength in left head of caudate nucleus (HCN), raphe nucleus (RN), right nucleus accumbens (NAcc), right subgenual anterior cingulate cortex (sgACC) and nodal efficiency in right sgACC, right HCN for SA patients were significantly reduced relative to NSA and HCs. In particular, nodal strength in RN and nodal efficiency in right sgACC showed a significant negative correlation with Nurses' Global Assessment of Suicide Risk (NGASR) scores.
This is a single-mode cross-sectional study, the results were not verified by multi-center data.
The abnormal disrupted FC between LIMB/SubC and FPN is associated with SA in BD-II patients, which increased the susceptibility of suicide. Especially, the dysfunction in RN and right sgACC predict a higher suicide risk in BD-II patients. The results can help us to understand the suicide mechanism and early judgment of suicidal behaviors for BD-II patients.

Negative effects of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) on depression have been reported, but the relative contribution of physical activity (PA) and sedentary behavior (SB) to such effects remains unclear. Our objective was to precisely quantify the effects modified or mediated by PA and SB using the recently developed four-way effect decomposition.
Our analysis included 22,117 adults (aged≥20 years) participating in the 2007-2016 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Depression was assessed by the Patient Health Questionnaire-9. Moderate recreational activity (MRA), moderate work activity (MWA), and walk or bicycle for transportation, were measured by the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ). A four-way decomposition was applied with PA and SB as mediator to decompose the total effects of CVDs on depression into four components controlled direct effect (CDE), pure indirect effect (PIE), reference interaction (INT
), and mediated interaction effect (INT
).
There were statistis.
Although studies have suggested experiencing the epidemic of severe infectious diseases increased the prevalence of mental health problems, the association between COVID-19 epidemic and risk of anxiety and depression symptom in college students in China was unclear.
A large cross-sectional online survey with 44,447 college students was conducted in Guangzhou, China. The Zung's Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D Scale) were used to define the anxiety and depression symptom, respectively. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to analyze the association between COVID-19 epidemic and risk of anxiety and depression symptom.
The prevalence of anxiety and depression symptom was 7.7% (95% confidence interval [CI] 7.5%, 8.0%) and 12.2% (95%CI 11.9%, 12.5%), respectively. Compared with students who reported have not infected or suspected cases in family members and relatives, students who reported having confirmed (OR=4.06; 95%CI 1.62, 10.
